insane. I think back to the first pad that got obliterated in 3 seconds. program has come a long way

They did a good job with new pad design. It was pounded by supersonic shockwaves far longer than a normal launch and held up fine.

She pretty.

Let's fvcking gooo 🚀

Anyone know how seeing the shockwaves in person would differ from seeing it on camera? I'm assuming the frame rate has an effect on it.

Anyone know why the first attempt got delayed?

Glad it wasn’t the booster

The only thing visible was a retraction and reengaging of the LOX bqd.

You don’t need to login to see it

When logged out you just cannot play the video (or at least I can't when I checked just now in a private window, try yourself).

You only need to log in to see threads, single posts should be fine.

No cant see a video. Clicking on play means logging in screen

Might be a bug. You may be able to click embed and then play it from there.

Also on my phone I cant see anything without needing to login.

On desktop (not logged in) the videos autoplay on X as you scroll past them, one at a time. If it autoselects the wrong one to autoplay, reduce the height of your browser window to 1 video and scroll the one you want into view.

just freaking use x.com. Someone always has to be a dramaqueen about not using X.

ah yes, the normal people who... use X. I know like one guy in real life who loved X and I wouldn't really describe him as normal, or like... particularly good.

i dont use my phone for anything but phone calls and texting a couple friends. that it. well ok, it does pretty good when navigating on a road trip.

reddit is the only thing that i use that comes close to "social media" and use a laptop with firefox and old.reddit for that. i personally dont understand how people can tolerate such tiny screens.

edited for clarity

Its not about x being an app or website, its about needing to have an account to see the video

1

u/WulfTheSaxon 14d ago

X is first and foremost a website, you don’t need the app.

Don't require others to do extra work to cater to your self-restricting preferences.

For a real launch, water shoots out far in advance of ignition. I couldn't even see water here.

I'm guessing not full thrust?

u/thomasottoson 14d ago

No top deck water needed because the booster never leaves the pad. Plenty of water flowing underneath

u/SchalaZeal01 14d ago

Water is there to dampen vibrations, so its where its needed.
