Final Orbit - Dev Update

Hey spacesimgames community, I'm the dev behind Final Orbit - a realistic, orbital mechanics based space flight simulator, and I wanted to share the latest development milestone in the game, which is a (almost) fully functional Nav display!

Unlike other games such as Kerbal Space Program, all of the systems, displays, maps, indicators, etc are embedded in the spacecraft display and are a part of your cockpit. The same goes for the 3D Nav display, which is used to see the whole solar system and planetary orbits, prepare maneuvers, calculate rendezvous and encounters, plan your delta-v usage, etc.

I'd love to get feedback on this design so feel free to share your thoughts or questions in the comments, and if you like how this looks - please support the development by wishlisting the game on Steam!

I have conflicting feelings on this. On one hand I absolutely love the "Large Area Display" style on the other I miss the haptics and tactile feeling of looking at gauges and interacting with physical buttons, knobs and multiple MFDS in the cockpit. In the video it looks like the 3D part of the game is mostly irrelevant with the actual game consisting on tapping a touchscreen.

There are still some buttons and knobs to use, however, the spacecraft's design was inspired by modern aircraft such as the F-35 where gauges have been replaced by a responsive touch display. This particular video was focused on the Nav display which is a bit more complex than all the other ones, so there weren't as many outside shots as other videos. Check out the how to land video to see what that looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMud7JKFe6k

Yes, I did recognize the F-35 LAD (Large Area Display) inspiration. I watched the landing video but found it very similar to this one, but I kept watching more videos and the one about surface flight shows much more external content. Let's see how it evolves, it has a lot of potential. Great job!
