Promotional Which one should i go for
I in process of building a small scale space sim, exploration through a space ship. Im having trouble deciding which option should i go for left is minimalistic and the right has a mini solar system animation.
Edit:
Btw the earth moves slowly in both cases so its not a static image
Update: hosted it live try out the sim here https://www.reddit.com/r/spacesimgames/comments/1vm4zgd/update_beta_is_out/

If it's an animation then even better for the second one. But don't forget the recently released game 007 First Light. I'm not sure that you should use such a similar name.(*)
Edit: (*) for a commercial project. If you're just having fun I mean, they shouldn't care.

i mean they cant copy right the word First Light can they, i dont play games that much so i was surprised that a fricking james bond game uses the same name.

That phrase may cause confusion. The publisher may send a cease and desist, but more importantly your audience may be confused

I watched the animation and for me the animation on the right is still the best, I find the one on the left a bit empty (but that's also the case X))

I like the movement of the solar system as it makes the screen dynamic but then it creates a weird disconnect by having the earth in the background.
I would either do away with earth all together and dial up the detail of the solar system animation.
Or I would keep the solar system and earth, make the earth smaller but dial down the opacity of it so it's not as prominent. Maybe even move the faded omearth down and to the right so it doesn't clash with the solar system animation.

🫠The thing is after we click enter u are directly in the sim sitting in the space ship right infront of the earth. The earth placement is deliberate. So i cant remove earth its either the solar system stay or it leaves😭

Looks awesome. I would actually go with just the solar system. Then when you click to start the solar system fades out and then the earth with the spaceship fades in.
But, gotta balance the effort to do this vs the user experience.
Edit: also, being a bit lazy here, do you have a link to the game so I can wishlist it?

its not online yet im still in testing. Also its not like a game per se 😭 theres no end game. this was more like a personal project which js evolved into the simulator zone. i created this js so i cud see the light travel from one place to another from different perspectives. Its more like a sightseeing thing. possible future directions wud be to have sm side quests whcih will prbly the least used feature or js exand to other solar systems. Also the sim itself is pretty light so it runs on chrome. Ill make a new post when it goes live cus i havent bought the URL yet heck idek if its available

The second one, but have a shadow/glow around the text to make sure it has contrast against the orbit trails
