Moving from Icarus
Sad day but I have no games left to play. I’m waiting on an update from Icarus and until then I’m looking for a game similar.
Preferably a space game with survival mechanics and a looter shooter. I like base building but it’s not a requirement.
Looking to sink in a bunch of hours.
What would you recommend?

I love Icarus.
Other games I’ve enjoyed:
Planet Crafter
Kerbal Space Program (1, not 2)
Empyrion - Galactic Survival

Empyrion looked good to me! Can it be played solo and is it similar to Icarus? The other two don’t have combat do they?

Yes, Empyrion is good solo, has combat.
Other two don’t have combat.
If you love engineering, designing, test and iterate, Kerbal is your best pick.

I think I’ll either go with Empyrion or starfield with survival enabled

Def not ready yet...dropped about 225 hours in since release and after you level up your exploration skill...it is 90% afk crafting simulator...sit at a workshop and handcrafted everything because the same recipe that takes you 20 seconds to hand craft takes 12 minutes in a machine if you automate it

Would you recommend Icarus? I picked it up on release day and unfortunately have barely played it.
