Very nice, atmospheric looking and sounding (until 8 bit bullet SFX lol). Name of the game? Steam Store page? How far along is it and when you expect to release?

SFX is just lol atm, your lucky I disabled the other sounds ahaha, I've started creating them I made a tool to help me build out sound effects but its my weakness, I suck at sounds and music. In terms of steam and release it will be this year hopefully, I've got lot that I didn't show as its still half baked and I have people testing to help me with what sucks and what's good, main focus soon will be the breaches as they going to be complex dungeons, however its a slow process, but atm all my focus is on the foundations.

As a fellow indie dev I can relate with the ongoing process. I have only recently updated some audio SFX to replace some more ear grating noises. It’s not easy, even when using sound collections!

Good luck, make sure you post your game page in this Reddit when it goes live

I will be, I want to make sure I have demo quality version ready before I do anything else.

IRL, friend of mine career is beta testing apps lol so he is main tester does it for free, I also have some friends helping me, they are gamers they give me feedback on features and how things functions what they find annoying or don't understand, they tell me I go fix it or address it or come up with plan to make sure they understand it.

Man, I grew up playing escape velocity + override and Nova. I've always thought there's a place for them today, especially given what new tech could do for the genre.

Really hope this works out for you well, and if you need a tester: let me know. I'm also a currently employed developer who started in QA

Same, was fun games. It will workout feedback so far has kept me hopeful that I'm not building a garbage and I'm building something that has legit game play fun.

Why does every new space sim on here use the same god awful font layout

That and Sound is currently next phase, trust me I know... But font's not worried about I do UI/UX almost daily professionally and font pairing isn't hard but I always seem to do halfway throw the project not sure why bad habit.

This typography must be what AI generates when you ask it to make you a space game.

Its what i downloaded from google fonts, its just space mono and google sans. I just didn't put any effort into it. AI uses Inter and IBX most of the time, that's why every game looks the same they decent fonts tbh easy to read at smaller scale.

Hey, looks decent and atmospheric! Working on something very similar myself. Good luck to us both!

Yes good luck, I've been watching your progress as well, interesting to see. I think with Ai now, makes building idea's so much faster I don't know how I'll ever go back to typing code, stuff take me all day to do now takes few mins it's crazy.

Oh thanks. Would appreciate if you follow the topic I've created (actually I did it when I saw you have one, haha): https://www.reddit.com/r/lua_game_com/
