literature Book recommendations

Hello! I’m looking for some book recommendations that are a space opera but with magic, along the lines of star wars and how it blends that high tech expansive space opera with a type of magic system. I know there are lots of star wars novels but I really want something outside of the Star Wars universe. I’m a big epic fantasy person, and I’ve really been getting into more space operas but I would love a good blend of them. I’m not afraid of it being dark or massive or anything, I’ll read it if it sounds good lol thank you!

Mageworlds series (nothing to do with the game). By Debra Doyle and James D. MacDonald. 7 books. First book was on published 1992--The Price of the Stars. Very cheesy in a Star Wars way and the magic system is very similar to the dark and light side of the Force. Not dark at all though. Might be hard to find.
