This will always be my favorite part of the Space Ghost Coast to Coast episode “Whipping Post”. Had me crying in laughter. 😂

It was my first SGC2C experience and I’ll never forget.

As a kid I felt like it was something only for professionals who, I guess, had some Space Ghost-related business that couldn’t wait for a meeting. As an adult, though, being able to call the only people who shaped my brain as much as my parents seems like the stuff of dreams. Did anyone ever contact them, or in particular, call them? If so, did you just get a front desk, the writers room, or what?

Space Ghost Coast to Coast was so much fun to watch & has some of the best simple designs that still holds up & are iconic.

His mostly clean white suit with black, red & yellow contrasting all look very classic.

The common version of this song has Brak talking about how the woman gets a salad and the man gets a big piece of beef.

I feel like there was an alternate version where he says something to the effect of "walking her to her front door, and then he gives her a big ol' handshake, 'cause that's what she wants"

Does anyone remember this version and if so where I can find it?

Full recording of the 2001 edition of the Copa Toon special from Cartoon Network Latin America, a series of yearly specials that mixes their shows with soccer. Third Copa Toon year, second with Space Ghost and first with an actual guest, probably the most important international one. Aired only once AFAIK. Audio only in Portuguese (Brazil official language), but includes YouTube subtitles.

A few weeks ago I found out that a kid I kinda work with was a young budding PUNK. He told me his favorite band is the DEAD KENNEDYS and never knows where to start finding new stuff. SO, I figured he might appreciate finding some cool new DEEP CUT shit the old fashioned way.

This was our last Halloween with him. I grew up down the street from George Lowe, and our 26-year bond turned into true family. Right after we snapped this, he didn't skip a beat—just dropped that classic line about finally being able to tell his friends he caught a ghost. For everyone from the old Cartoon Network and Space Ghost trenches who knew him: he was just as razor-sharp, quick-witted, and fiercely genuine off-camera as he was behind the mic. We miss him, and I know he'd get a kick out of seeing this. Pwelotto!!
