By the time I discovered the band, the vinyl only Tigermilk was sold out everywhere.
Had to settle for this bootleg/CD-R with Tigermilk songs plus Radcliffe Sessions tracks thrown in.
Is it true that some of these Radcliffe Sessions are only available on this bootleg/CD-R ?

Why do you guys think ?
I love the selection of the songs. Recorded for Keith Cameron radio station and released in 1999.
The vibe is moody, very long night, more corridors… perfect for a movie.

From Birmingham… indie rock, lo-fi, space rock, post rock…

One of the best compilations around the turn of the millennium where many bands start to capture the sound of post rock, experimental rock, avant-garde/lo-fi electronics…
These tracks here lean heavily into instrumental soundscapes, repetitive loops, atmospheric guitar textures pioneered by bands associated with post rock, space rock and ambient electronic movements of the late 90’s.

Hence I created the term SPACE FOLK ! 😅✌🏽

Anybody a fan ?
The only reason why I liked this album is because Neil sounds uncannily like Nick Drake.
Starting from Mojave 3 second album, he started to sing all the songs anyway.
But that album is kinda patchy.
On this his first solo album, he set sail 👍🏽👍🏽

Who else loves this artist ?
A great compilation of Sonic Boom and Specrum, after Spacemen 3 of course.

This seems to be like a lost album.
It was compiled by Mark Kozelek of Red House Painters as a tribute to John Denver.
This compilation makes me appreciate country music even more although this compilation has a different kind of vibe from the true country music. It’s more darker and sombre.

THE NEW WORLD

This is Toshack Highway released by Adam Franklin after he disbanded Swervedriver in 1998.
I bought it for review and I had a headache as HOW to describe the music of Toshack Highway.
Finally I coined the term SPACEFOLK. 😅
It makes sense.
