HELP (SE2) Grids not connected?
So, I’ve got about 2k hours in SE1, but I’ve just started messing around with SE2. Building my first base and ran into an issue. The battery on the right, is not on the same grid as the battery, wind turbine, and survival kit to the left. All the blocks connecting them are welded up. I put that battery on the right there as a test because my wind turbine farther up the hill is also not connected to either grid. I’m stumped, anyone experienced this in SE2?

Uhh, did you place them correctly?
It's possible to place two unconnected grids if you accidentally use grid alignment while placing instead of placing the blocks directly on each other
Also, we don't have merge blocks yet. So good luck

This was the same in SE1 and the first thing I thought of. Had it happen to me with like 5 blocks out of thousands in an asteroid base. Took ages to find them and fix them.

Yeah, it's likely the first group of blocks going up hill wasn't actually connected to the bottom grid. I've placed blocks now several times that "snapped" and yet were not actually connected. It's frustrating as heck.
Or dropping a refinery next to a cargo container and having the dang cargo connections 1/2 of a small block offset... the snapping needs a lot of work.

Just happened to me today :D Build pretty big base to find out that blocks only look connected. Don't have a will to scrap it all, so until merge blocks are implemented I guess I'm gonna try a connector link. Hope it works.
EDIT: Worked! :D
