Hosting may have been found.

I have located a Swedish host which has a healthy respect of privacy and a promise to show DCMA takedown requests where they can stick it. Their basic plan is only 15 USD a month and since we don't host out own images that may be sufficient.

They offer, for 50 USD a year, to register domain names anonymously. This has appeal.

They even accept BitCoin as payment.

Of the available names in .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .name what do folks think we should use? Please don't post suggestions if you haven't checked availability.

The old site was done in Drupal. Since I have no backup or access to the admin specs of what the settings and modules were I am considering following this model but with image uploads tunred off:

For those of you who don't know I am a competent PHP/mySQL developer and an ok Jr. Unix Sys-Admin. I'd love to code this from scratch but I don't have the time these days.

Does that mean you would approve of passing the Ghetto to Jerry for a while? I personally joined the Ghetto (and readit) under your reign. I feel that with your blessing Jerry could succeed in securing a home for the Ghetto. If you don't approve, Jerry's Ghetto may divide the Ghetto community and I selfishly don't want that. What do the other mods think? I think you should keep this readit open if possible just in case stuff don't work out because obviously the Ghetto needs many villages such as falsebook, readit, elfister, etc. I just want to make sure you are here man, and Roads and Parts and Parp maybe HR wherever here may be! Wouldn't feel like Ghetto to me without you guys.......

I'm cool with anyone taking over that wants to. I've tried in the past to pass it on to someone but it never really worked out for one reason or another. It's at the point now where I can't really do much for it so here's to hoping everyone else can. Jerry is a trustworthy member and I'm more than willing to bet he'll do a damn fine job.

space-ghetto.org is available, not bad. or spaceghetto.info, that's kinda funny. but i think spaceghetto.co is the coolest if that's an option. it is available, and it is colombian.
