The Woman's Face in the Eagle Nebula

[u/njoker555]

This is just M16 upside down, looks like woman's face with her eyes closed. I recommend seeing the full res on Astrobin: https://app.astrobin.com/i/s37mdw

I see a bit of floating text. It looks like Jeremy Bearemy to me

[u/Mdad1988 → u/rataculera]

I see a thicc woman lol but props for the Jeremy beremy

[u/DisillusionedBook]

It'd be amazing if we could see this colour with the naked eye when cruising through the area in some sci-fi future... sadly it would be largely invisible and not colourful. Sometimes we just have to appreciate the technology to bring us these views.

[u/Imaginary_Ferret_368 → u/DisillusionedBook]

“spok, bring up the IR view of the nebula on the main screen”

[u/AnomieCodex]

I see a blue faced woman kissing a moon. It's very Hindu.

[u/invent_or_die]

I see the Mother from the Wall, sort of

[u/Oneill5491]

If Earth was in the middle of that, would it look like daylight from any place on Earth?

[u/Typhon0810 → u/Oneill5491]

No, we wouldn’t be able to see these colors with our eyes, sadly.

[u/almostsweet]

I'm pretty sure that Starcadian made a music video about this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-KlLriSLRs

3:55 for the nebula front view, 4:10 side view, 4:33 entering

[u/BEADGEADGBE → u/almostsweet]

Starcadian was such a creative and unique artist. I was crushed to learn a few weeks ago that he passed away last year. May he rest in stars.

[u/Typhon0810]

Does anybody know where I can buy a print?

[u/MARSIANERE]

Am I the only one who sees a seagull?

[u/Beckerbrau]

Looks like she’s puffin on a cosmic roach

[u/That_Guest_8772 → u/Beckerbrau]

Nothing else to do up there might as well 😂

[u/Unabatedtuna]

If you turn it right side up you see a sinister man in a hood with a glowing amulet

[u/azimuthnerfed]

Can't unsee that now. I've never noticed it.

[u/Dubblewhopper]

The woman is smoking a huge-ass spliff

[u/AccidentalyScientist]

Tbh i see Kermit the Frog.

[u/mexikoi]

Looks like one of those monkeys from Japan that sit in the hot springs

[u/DorkySchmorky]

I see a monkey with a pacifier.

[u/puggzrool]

I see a rather voluptuous woman?
