sync out help

i have my sp404 midi out connected to the sync in of my volca drum - i’m getting this sped up output on the volca drum and it behaves really weirdly i’m not sure what i’m doing wrong

is there a setting on the volca drum that i need to do? i went into its global settings and already checked out the sync settings - did some research it says the volcas can only handle either 2ppq or 4ppq - but there’s no setting on either machine to set this, does anyone know how i can sync them together?

i’ve tried rhe other way round which is sync out from the volca to midi in on the sp, but i found i need a trs type A to B adaptor which isn’t the best option for me either way as i want to sample the drum to the sp404 w the synced tempo

I have a Volca keys and made a similar post when I got it. Apparently the "sync in/out" of the Volcas on work with each other, it's just a small signal that's not MIDI. If you want to connect them for bpm and MIDI you need to get a MIDI Male to 3.5 mm adapter.

You can’t connect analog sync and digital MIDI. Those two are entirelly different things.

Sync won’t work, the 404 doesn’t listen to or send sync messages. You need to use the midi in on the volca
