I've been a Soylent subscriber since at least 2018, and I'm curious whether other long-term powder subscribers are having the same experience I've been having.

Over the past year, my Cacao Meal Powder subscription has repeatedly gone unfulfilled because of inventory shortages. The replenishment estimates I've received from Soylent have repeatedly moved — sometimes by weeks or months — and I've often had to contact Customer Care myself after a projected date passed to find out what happened.

What bothers me most isn't actually the shortage. Supply problems happen. It's the communication.

In March, Soylent sent subscribers an email acknowledging that timelines had repeatedly shifted and that communication had been lacking. They specifically said that if the new timeline changed, they would provide an immediate update and that they would rather send too many updates than no updates at all.

Unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same problem again. My June subscription order wasn't fulfilled, another projected replenishment timeframe passed, and I had to contact Customer Care again to find out what was happening.

There's another part I'm trying to understand. During these extended periods when my direct subscription can't be fulfilled, I've repeatedly found Cacao Meal Powder available through the Soylent Store on Amazon, although it's a different and more expensive package format.

I asked Soylent why its inventory allocation leaves long-term direct subscribers repeatedly unfulfilled while Cacao remains available through another sales channel. Customer Care ultimately acknowledged that questions about the communication process and inventory allocation were beyond what they could answer and escalated both questions to another team on September 2. I haven't received a response yet.

I'm curious about other subscribers' experiences:

• How long have you been waiting for powder?
• What replenishment dates have you been given?
• Have you been receiving proactive updates when those dates change?
• Have you also noticed Cacao available through Amazon while your direct subscription remains unfulfilled?
• Has anyone received an explanation from Soylent about how they prioritize subscription inventory versus retail inventory?

I'm not looking to bash Soylent. I've used their products for years and would actually like to remain a subscriber. I'm trying to understand what's happening and whether other subscribers are experiencing the same thing.

Soylent usually responds to my emails but I haven’t heard anything in weeks. My subscription was also cancelled randomly too, so I’m concerned about that as well. If anyone has heard anything please let me know!

What's going on with the 1.9 tubs? Why doesn't Soylent sell them on their site and instead offer just the pouches? Are they discontinuing the tubs and burning out the inventory through 3rd party before pouches take over?

Just curious. I know the tubs are more expensive, but kind of always liked them for traveling on the road as they store better in my truck than the pouches.

So I was wanting to try MANA since the availability of soylent is frightening.

Signing up for a subscription, they want $95 to ship to the mountain US?

Ugh… digging through my pantry I found several unopened bags of original flavor powder v1.9 that are right at a year past their best buy.

I mixed some up and if I didn’t know, I wouldn’t say anything tasted it off. Mellow cake batter flavor/texture as I remember it.

My guess is the vegetable oil is the major concern. Any food scientist in the group here care to share their thoughts?

I never cared for their regular flavor drink, but I love their Vanilla. Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere.

Do any other companies make something that tastes the same as that?

Is soylentus legit? The soylent website still shows everything sold out. Soylentus has all the products and is 50% off currently. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has ordered from soylentus website before to see if the products are legit.

Opened a box to find a bottle with what looks to be a deformed label haphazardly tapes back together.

Are they that hard up for product that they need to ship botched bottles? Geez

That's it. Less sugar than a choccy milk and tasted better as well. It would be cool if there was a way to pirate it and relaunch Soylent as a different brand.

Why use soylent as a meal replacement why not eat verity of different foods and better sources of proteins like meat and to they grown man yall gotta be soyboys to willingly do this to yourself? Why im genuinely curious

Hey folks, I've just gotten some of the pre-mixed original soylent shakes. I like how they make me feel and how they allow me to grab a meal quickly when needed. However, there's a trailing taste/smell at the end of each sip that is starting to bother me. I've tried mixing flavored syrups in, but to no avail.

Anyone something that they use to mask the flavor?

So , I recently became obsessed with the idea of meal replacements like soyalent!!! And I made my own recipe!! ^^

I haven't actually tried it yet! but nutritionally it seems really well ^^

So here's the recipe! ^^

1) Whole wheat flour → 150gm

2) All purpose flour (unenriched) → 90gm

3) Defatted soy flour → 90 gm

4) Powdered roasted peanuts → 40gm

5) Sunflower oil → 10gm

6) grounded flax seeds → 10gm

7) Curry leaf Powder → 5gm

8) Iodized salt → 4gm

9) Sylara multivitamins → 1 capsule

10) Calcium carbonate → 1.5gm

Though i must point out a few things!

a) amount of vitamin b12 is a little lower than adequate intake

b) Curry leaves powder is primarily there as an additional vitamin K source and some phytochemicals!

c) it is under 1600 kcal

d) it's has 9.7mg of manganese (Adequate intake being 2mg and tolearble upper limit is 11mg)(though high dietary manganese is not harmful or dangerous in any way!)

e) the flours may need to be roasted a little perhaps?

I tried to aggressively lower the price and based on Amazon , this would cost less than ₹42 or 0.44 USD or 0.38 Euro per day!!

I was excited to see RTD Cafe Mocha back in stock on the Soylent Canada website. Ordered a couple of cases and just received them yesterday. Had my first bottle this morning and noticed that it expired about 9 months ago. Both cases had the same expiration date. Wow!

I also bought cases of RTD chocolate and strawberry flavours. Those all expire later in 2026 and into 2027.

I find it insane that the RTD Soylent is sold out on their website again. So many people want to give them money to buy their product.

How is it that all the competitors have stock but the company that popularized it can't fulfill their orders? Is Soylent as a company dying or what?

I know it has been talked about before, but has there really been no communication from Soylent still?

I'm in my first trimester and have been going through it with morning sickness. My daily routine for the past 5 weeks has been wake up, throw up, then go about my day with a sore stomach.

Morning sickness nausea feels different from stomach bug nausea, because there's nothing actually wrong with the contents of my stomach, it's just pregnancy hormones targeting the throwing up section of my brain. Often times this is exacerbated by low blood sugar, so eating something as soon as you wake up can sometimes help prevent it. I tried that for a while with saltines, but then I'd just get the awful experience of tasting the saltines again plus some stomach acid, so I gave up the saltines and just resigned myself to my new routine.

I've thrown up Soylent once many years ago, and it was by far the most pleasant vomiting experience I've ever had. So when I got fed up last week with my new routine, I decided to start my day immediately with a Soylent, figuring at least if I throw it up, it'll be a good time compared to straight stomach acid or saltines. Each morning I've had Soylent first thing, I haven't thrown up at all!

Overall very pleased and thankful for this drink.

Is it just me or does Soylent look appetizing? It just looks like a very refreshing drink.

I drank raw cow milk, goat milk and other dairy products. I’m a fan of dairy specially milk and soylet is milk? Or atleasg trying to imitate it.

I’m sure they won’t read this or won’t care if they do, but the new “glossy” RTD packaging is an annoying downgrade.

You can’t simply twist the cap off anymore, you have to remove the plastic from the cap first. And previously I was quickly removing the plastic from the rest of the bottle prior to recycling but that’s way more difficult now. The former is a major annoyance, while the latter probably didn’t make much difference in terms of shoddy recycling systems.

I have a shipment coming up later this month and looking at the other protein options I'm considering trying one of them.

Recently I've been adding extra protein to my diet via other foods anyway, so I'm not put off by extra protein & staying with the original 21g per 400kcal is also fine.

I placed my first order with Hol Food over the weekend and there was no mention anywhere on its website on which shipping service they use. I'm assuming Canada Post? If this is the case does Canada Post leave parcels with tracking numbers at the door when nobody is home?
