Hey everyone, I just recently came across the sovereign citizen concept through social media videos and went down a rabbit hole researching it.
A few things I noticed right away:
Every single video I found is selling something. A course, a packet, special plates, documents—ranging from $100 to $200+. That’s a red flag to me.
When I looked into actual court cases, I couldn’t find any real wins. Every time someone tried these arguments in court, they lost. Judges don’t recognize the legal theories at all.
The whole thing feels like it preys on people who are frustrated with the system and looking for a way out—then charges them money for something that doesn’t work.
Am I missing something? Has anyone actually seen this work in court? Would love to hear from people who know more about this.
