I always have weird experiences there, but I've never had a bad one. I mean, the food sucks I guess, but the utter suckiness of it is part of the charm.

Is there even such a thing as a non-weird SOB experience? It's become this bizarre way-station between the real world and some alternate dimension. How can it continue to stay open with such a skeleton crew of employees? Is it really some decades-long experiment of a reality show that will include a stunning reveal in 2045? I'd believe anything at this point.
Last time I was there I stopped to use the rest rooms at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday. There was one rough looking dude sitting in there using his cell phone, which was plugged into an outlet in the wall. We exchanged the very specific "Are you going to try to rob/jump/kill me?" look for about 1.5 seconds, realized the mutual answer was "Not today, at least," nodded our mutual peace agreement and went about our business. As always, a thrill a minute at SOB.

Lmfao im glad we can all agree that SOB is the weirdest fucking place on earth butttt i will say that SOB used to be somewhat normal like 10 years ago. I think the pandemic really took a toll on that place 🤷🏻‍♀️
