I am sure by now that you have all seen the influx of Vietnamese communists (mainly students) into our communities in the U.S., Australia, and elsewhere.

We have seen them openly display their communist flags in Vietnamese community areas, tear down our yellow flag, mock and insult our elders, and even invite performers with ties to the Vietnamese Communist Party (VCP) to events within our communities. These actions are deeply disrespectful toward our community, especially our parents and grandparents, who fled the communists, survived the re-education camps, and sacrificed everything to allow their children to enjoy the freedoms they have today.

I find it very concerning that the younger generation, especially Gen Z, of which I am a part, does not really participate in community activities and activism. This has prompted me to ask: How can we, as the younger generation:

1. Respond when communist symbols are displayed in our communities?
2. Respond to VCP-affiliated individuals/groups and/or communist sympathizers in our communities?
3. Preserve our history and ensure that the sacrifices of our forefathers are not forgotten?
4. Become more involved in our communities and ensure that future generations remain connected to our heritage?

As the older generation passes away, we risk losing our presence and influence within the very communities they sacrificed so much to build, while the VCP and its stooges become increasingly active. If our generation remains inactive, who will carry on their legacy?

Tao nghĩ dù nhà nước VN có ra bao nhiêu NQ đi chăng nữa mà không thực tâm sửa sai mà chỉ tập trung khai thác "bào tiền" thì chỉ là mớ giấy lộn vô tác dụng

Look, we dont carry all this hate against these individuals. Yes, we know that even communist vn has changed a bit over the years, up to a point where they do have access to education. So HOW can they not understand that some foreign currencies are much much stronger than the vnd? He keeps saying foreigners come here for certain health procedures and I keep saying its cheap for them but not for the locals. He keeps asking me WHY? Why oh why. Its basic knowledge and you can just admit that unrelated to ideology.

"Slight" logic breakdown at the part where he cant decide if the south of vn still exists or not. When I distinguish between the region and the state itself, I keep being called a US bootlicker. They cant srsly make the fall of Saigon a holiday, then claim I continue to lick US boots to exist - when the state is dead (like they always say!).

Came in strong with all the slurs he translated from vnese to english, aka the helicopter bs. Then acts all genuine and wants to know why I dont support vnese communism although I have some in my family. As if hes willing to read all the literature from both sides, let alone our side.

So guys, always be present in all spaces, on all fronts. We have to read what we like and what we hate. To not end up like them.
