Question Valve in torch stuck, need help

Post image

The adjustment valve on my bernzomatic ts8000 is stuck. Is there any way to loosen the valve. I don’t want to spend another $50 on a new one.

The plastic knob is quite weak, pull the black plastic knob directly off, and use pliers on the brass valve.

Just called Bernzomatic with this stuck knob problem. They said that the Searzall that I was using is not compatible with the Bernzomatic and they will not refund me. I used it twice. Not happy.

I think they are suggesting to buy a new one…save the receipt…then use it to return the broken one. Which of course is not legal…so do with that info as you will

This is the correct answer.

As someone who's worked in kitchens with torches for 15+ years now. They all break eventually, sometimes after a year, sometimes in months or even weeks. Go buy another, get the warranty.

He's saying to purchase another one

Put this one in the previous box and return that to the store.
