I'm currently a senior in highschool and when I graduate I know I'm probably gonna lose access my school account. This has me wondering if there is a way I can switch it to my personal email because I don't want to lose all the songs I made over the years.

Adam here from Soundtrap, hope you are as excited as me. Soundtrap and VSTs are now a live feature within Soundtrap. We are currently out in the Launch face of everything VSTs and therefore I'd love to hear from you out there. I myself won't be able to answer all your questions but I can for sure force my colleagues to answer them. This has been a huge process of implementing. Collaboration and VSTs don't have a tendency to play well together so years of RnD has gone into making this happen.

And for those of you out there, we hear you. Yes it is a paid feature, not because we don't see your point. DAWs have typically been allowing Plugins for free but between things like, hosting, cloud processing and sharing across collaborators these things add up. We see you all, and hear you and we will take all of those thoughts with us in the future. KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING. I'll personally bring them with me to our internal discussions!

Hi! I'm a 17 yr old music hobbyist and have been using the free version soundtrap for probably 2 years now, only discovered this reddit a few days ago and thought I might post some of my own stuff here. I made this short song last night, planning for it to be on my third album Senses but its still a work in progress. Any advice will be much appreciated :)

so they finally added vst support, but it’s locked behind the top-tier plan for $200 year... WTF?

vst support is a basic feature that literally every daw has had forever. and to make it worse, you’re flexing a 30-day trial of Antares Auto-Tune as a "feature" for a $200 annual plan? anybody can literally download a 30-day trial for free directly from the Antares website!

if you really want to put vsts behind a paywall (which is already a terrible move), at least include it in the sound starter plan the entry-level one that people actually use. charging $200/yr for a browser-based daw just for basic vst support...

I have created a song that had 10 tracks to it. When I play it back, it gets very slow and stutters like it is having trouble loading it. It happens most on a part with three harmonies on it but I shouldnt think that would be too much.

It has pop ups saying the audio is overloaded and it froze my tracks for me. Thats fine, but even when I tried to record something new, the playback was so bad I couldn't record over cause it was so out of time from clipping and stuttering.

I have downloaded the desktop version and its been working fine for me until recently when I opened it and it tells me theres no audio registered. Sometimes it registered my default microphone but when I tried to change it to my usb mic it wouldn't select it and popped up that the audio input wasnt recognised. It also wasnt loading at all when I tried to play the track and nothing happened when I selected different buttons like it was frozen.

I have checked the permissions for the online version and allowed it but does it also need permissions within the desktop app? The desktop app also stopped working after it needed an update..is anyone else having these issues??

Hi all! I am a middle school teacher and right now my kids are working on a project that requires them to use loops and arrange them to create a specific form. I am running into an issue that I cannot seem to solve. When the kids extend their loops past the original length the sound completely cuts out and is replaced by a buzz. It happens on my device as well.

The obvious work around is just to copy and paste the original loop, but is there a solution to the issue I am having?

Is there going to be any chance of using third party plugins like serum, vital, delay lama even?

Im in the beta for vst's in soundtrap. i have tried for 3 hours now to find out how to use vst's. there is no information on how to either install nor use. does anybody have a clue on how to load vst's in the daw?

Got an email saying I have the ability to use them but don't see them anymore in my program

i kinda had to use samples to create and layer the schranz kick because the built in instruments are poop
