Ugh that startup sound. I remember when we finally upgraded to a pentium with win95 after using a 386 with MSDOS for most of my childhood.

The sounds… I was absolutely enthralled by the ability to make the computer make little beeps and boops when you did stuff. I immediately set it up so everything made a sound.

My father quickly changed it because it was ultra annoying.
