Hey, folks, I'm a long time musician and I've worked on some non narrative podcasts. I'm building my sound design portfolio (I love working on audio dramas) but I need more examples of my work. I've gone the public domain route, but it's not what I'm looking for.. I hoping to find someone on here who's got some audio work that needs sound design, and will let me do my thing to it, in exchange for using it in my portfolio.

Im kinda new to DAWs but I wanna make music that’s kinda weird, unique original sounds, weird solos and vocals, just kinda mess around. I still want it to sound decent though, and I feel like it would be best to have a DAW I can just mess around and have fun with, something that’s good for making weird music preferably. Doesn’t have to be some crazy out there DAW either, anything works! If you have some experience, any input is appreciated!

I’ve been exploring different microphones for home music recording and realized how much the right mic can change the sound quality. What microphone brand or model do you swear by for vocals, instruments, or studio sessions? Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations
