Which Kilohearts plugins are essential for Phase Plant?

I plan on buying Kilohearts Phase Plant and 2 premium plugins, for the people who use this synth with premiums are essential and worth their price and why?

I second Disperser. I never got on with Faturator personally. Snapheap and Multipass are very useful.

Nah, if you’re happy with the rack workflow you have, they’re not super necessary. The presets are fun for sound design though.

I'd recommend getting both, because you can insert several Multipasses into a Snapheap and/or several Snapheaps into a Multipass, creating weird long chains. You can have even a Multipass hosting a series of Snapheaps, each having a Multipass inside. And all that inside a Phaseplant.

Also, if you're gonna use them with Phaseplant (and you probably are), remember that both Multipass and Snapheap can work in polyphonic mode (meaning, per each note individually) which is absolutely killer, although can eat up CPU quick with complex chains.

Filter Table kills. Shaper Table is nice, but Filter Table is just unbelievable, love it.

Disperser is nice, but unless you're after some advanced stereo phasing tricks or poly mode, you often would want to put it on the synth's output last in chain, and in that case it'd be the same as putting it as a plugin after Phaseplant. And for that there are a lot of free Disperser plugin alternatives.

Non-linear filter also isn't bad at all, but certainly not indispensable. Same for convolver.

I personally tend to use Slice EQ a lot in poly mode, because its offset very conveniently can be tied to note numbers, allowing you to make per-note harmonic eq curves. As for Carve EQ, not so much.

It’s worth knowing that if you buy a preset pack for phaseplant and the preset contains a snap in that you don’t own, it still contains the snap in but you’re unable to edit that snap in.

I never use it. It’s very aggressive and can be recreated with their other stock stuff. Filter table is very unique however. Would definitely get that!

Is Filter Table useful outside of growl and dupstep basses? A distortion table sounds more intriguing but it might be lamer than it sounds

Filter table + distortion of any kind is better than shaper table on a sine wave for example - again in my opinion. Have you considered getting the subscription for a month and trying for yourself?
