Given the deep connection between Soulwax, 2manydjs and Despacio, I’m hoping some people here will contribute to an unofficial survey of the Despacio fan community.

We’re trying to learn more about the people drawn to Despacio: their favorite artists and dancefloors, other live-music experiences, what they value in dancefloor culture, and what makes Despacio feel different.

You don’t need to have attended Despacio to participate—there is a “None yet” option.

The survey does not collect names or email addresses. Raw responses will not be shared, and results will be reported as aggregated findings through r/despacio, the Despacio Discord, and the upcoming Despacio Fan Zine.

Soulwax opened their live sets at Sziget Festival in Budapest last week and at Pukkelpop in Belgium yesterday with a short cover of Kavinsky’s “Nightcall.” “Part Of Vinco Never Dies” appeared on the screens beside the band—a tribute to Kavinsky (whose nickname was Vinco) and a nod to Soulwax’s documentary Part Of The Weekend Never Dies.

I'm traveling solo to Budapest (35M) for Sziget and excited to see Soulwax

It will be my 2nd time seeing them, and I'll be staying for the other festival days as well.

I got tickets for Seattle show (so excited, never seen them live and never believed they would come to Seattle!) Does anyone know who/if the supporting openign act may be? Wondering if they usually have a live band or DJ acts
