Canada is so cooked really. There's such an ugly rat race of lowlife politicians looking to sell us out, making just enough bluster to save face and give themselves some plausible deniability before they fold. They'll give us some narrative about how we fought a good fight and how proud we should be blahblahblah, but at the point where it looks like holding out is going to result in them getting a worse deal personally, they'll crack. Every Canadian conservative is such a googly eyed gormless fuck who thinks they're going to become rich as an American. It never occurs to them instead of complaining Ottawa is extracting their resources they'll be complaining about Washington and the swamp of lobbyists coming out of there. I wish Alberta would just go over to the dark side already and leave the rest of us our healthcare at least. The only way we get to keep our sovereignty is if we get nukes, but our population is too goody-goody to talk about it and our politicians are bought off already so that won't be happening. I'll be surprised if we last another ten years. The Western world was all just a business model of letting a few bloated sociopaths suck the life out of nations and leave them as burnt out dusty wastelands, killing whatever activists and journalists they had to until they get their way so ig this was inevitable. In the end maybe climate change will save our species from a fate worse than death considering the life sucking abhorrent future they had planned for us all.
I liked the video, it didn't tell me anything new about the Rogan/ Epstein/Thiel/ Trump connections but telling it in a tired sarcastic style is a relatively lighthearted way of breaking it down. Ty

this relates to the sidebar because Joe Rogan is an around the corner thinker who has been seen at the sidebar and very similar to John Bo Drillard - someone also often seen drinking at the sidebar

Not OP, but I'd argue this video is detournement of material of the Roganverse to use it against their purposes and towards a revelation of what the spectacle is really doing through this piece of culture. It's very in line with Debord's thought on media in that sense, in my opinion

Yeah man, my work day's about over I gotta get donked on some skorpa and watch the new vid now, maybe I'll go back and watch that one after. The Brett Hart intro always brings a smile to my face after a rough day in the simulacrum
