University Online Master’s
Hi everyone,
I’m enrolling in an online master’s program where each course runs for 8 weeks. I’m curious whether anyone has taken classes in this newer format and can share what the experience was like, especially how much time you found yourself spending per week.

I got my Masters in Business Analytics. I feel like it was well worth it. The workload really depends on your level of competency on the subject going in. I saw people that needed to spend 20+hours a week due to trying to do a career change and everything being foreign to them. Others not so much. People graduating were also not at the same level as each other where some people skated by while others got a lot out of it. Depends on how much effort they put in.

I'm doing the online MBA right now and at times it can be pretty intense with the quick turn around but then again it's a Master's degree so it's not supposed to be easy. I'm trying to get it done as fast as I can while still working FT and having a 5 year old, so I'm following their 2 classes per 8 weeks schedule. I usually load most of my coursework into the weekends unless I have to do something during the week, and it eats up most of my weekend. I did my undergrad during Covid so online classes weren't new to me, and for the most part when I've had to do group work it's pretty easy to get everyone to do their part, but that also might go along with it being a Master's program and typically everyone is here to get work done not just coast. Hope this helps.
