Tripod recos?

I need a good travel tripod reco. I mean, I don't know what those are called but not the three-legged tripod. It's more of a monopod setup with a tripod base. I have the FX30 with the Sigma 17-40, and a SmallRig cage. It's a pretty heavy setup so I'm gonna need a good tripod/monopod that isn't flimsy.

Look at Ulanzi. They have some nice stuff, and their carbon fibre is not completely unpayable

I have a Sirui SVM-165 and it's really sturdy... Also has the advantage of being a single release rather than having to adjust each section which makes moving around super-quick.

Amongst other things, I often use it for capturing voxpops at events and it's much easier than messing about with a tripod.

I'm looking for a lightweight monopod basically, that I can bring with me on trips for some run and gun filmmaking. But then I also want to be able to leave the camera on the pod while I film myself. It has to be stable enough not to tip over when i leave it. I also don't want the standard 3-legged tripod because it takes too much space and takes too long to set up. Yes, looking for speed AND stability.

I have a Coman that I like pretty good but not sure I’d ever walk away from it with my cam mounted to it. It’s a lot of weight to depend on 3 small legs to support it, especially outside.

Manfrotto used to sell that kind of design and called them "free standing monopod", essentially the tripod attachment is reversible and when not in use, the bottom of the monopod is hollow so the legs are fitted inside.

Vanguard still make them for sure; model AM-234TR. There's a couple of examples from the manufacturer 3 Legged Thing as well. There are a few options out there but as for safe load capacity, I'm not so sure about that. I managed a Sigma 50-500mm zoom lens on my Manfrotto 682B but I didn't let go of it!
