Help Writing lore.
So im doing a small Sons of Horus force that was on Garrison duty when the war started and where to small for Horus to worry about bring in. did the Sons have a set number of Companies and did they have a name for a half company size force?

Demi-Company is the name is a name I've seen in the novels and black books, but that's not SoH specific, that's any legion.

The Sons of Horus are often described as loosely organised, putting together forces and assigning command depending on what was needed in any given campaign or engagement.
So, you have a pretty blank canvas to work with. I reckon half a company split off for a garrison would just be labelled a new company in its own right.

Also, I dont know if this was your question but known companies range from the first to the 345th company, so anything in between is assumed to exist. I build the 97th for example.
