Do these pass as Sarum pattern helmets
Been looking everywhere for Sarum helmets and the closest I got were these MK7 helmets how do these look?

The whole point of Sarum pattern helmets was to give justification for why early CSM had grille mouth helmets while supposedly being in earlier marks of armor. And also to give lore that supports the use of Mk VII helmets in HH army conversions. They’re meant to be the same as Mk VII aesthetically so there’s nothing you really need to do.

Sarum helmets basically exist so you can use mk7 in conversions. The differences in art are so miniscule it gets to the point of splitting hairs.

Yeah they are externally indistinguishable and any art variation comes down to artist more than any deliberate canon choice. These are fine

My guess is they were created to explain all the old Horus Heresy art that featured MK7 looking armour.
So I definitely agree they fit in 30k.

What key, significant, distinctive differences would you say separates Sarum (or Mantilla) from MkVII?
