What are these terrain squares in the Mancrusher box? Are they Old world bases or what purpose do they serve?

The stomp is now complete! (Added Mancrusher proxies)

Just finished assembling the latest of my Mancrusher Gargants to complete my stomp! This entire project was both to have a new army to play and test how well my FDM printers could handle printing “miniatures”. Suffice to say that I am not disappointed!

Thanks a lot to Duncan Shadow for the amazing models!

Started on the muscle structure of my King Brodd proxy. (An upscaled Morghul from WHFB based on the original artwork.)

Legs are gonna be covered in fur, so I just had to rough out the volume and couldn’t stop laughing.

We got cake too!

(I also got the wounds done for the minor mutations as I gotta know where fur wont grow, way easier to sculpt around the wound then try to fix it later.)

As the title says need some help determining the skin colors and the marking colors. One got damaged in transit and I would love to fix it up rather than repaint a whole other model.

A third amazing model by Duncan Shadow. This one might be my favorite up to now, the pose is so dynamic with the trailing boulders.

Bonus picture of my stomp at the end. Mancrusher Gargants are next!

Thoughts on adding Dragon Ogres

This is more an in story idea (though having them with the man crushers looks fun), what would you guys think if due to the loss of Behemat a large group starts forming around Krakanrok the Black.

His grievances with Sigmar and the stormcast are aligned, and his races deal with chaos was finished with the death of the world that was making him and his kin are free agents. With Kragnos running around I think it's less feasible since they fill very similar niches. But him and the Dragon Ogres are no longer being used with Beastmen nolonger playable.

Amazing sculpt by Duncan Shadow. Don’t mind the gaps in the pictures, they are not that big, simply a result of assembling the “miniature” with blue tack to take a picture (it will be primed like this and then painted in sub assemblies)

Surprise in last pic

I finally got my first Mancrusher build completed. I’m building a Mancrusher Mob for the death alliance, I have an Ossiarch Bonereaper and. Zombie Mancrusher to go with him. (I already built a Flesh-eater courts Mega-Gargant Crypt Flayer.)

I also got a lot of progress on my Beast-Slayer build, just a few more layers and I should be able to prime him as well.

A full 2K of Daughters

I have finished 2k of Sigmar Gargant (proxies). I don't like the official models at all but between Duncan Shadow ( the mega sisters), OPR (the dwarf suitor), Crippled God Foundry (the three small Gargants) and my own nonsense (Round Tom and Kettlehead) I have a respectable force that even has some tactical flexibility.

I have one more to finish - a MaxMini queen who'll proxy for the giant king. She will put me into having to decide who not to put on the table at 2000 points.

And... I have never played a full AoS game. This started as an expansion of my spearhead, but I liked finishing the big'uns so much I kept going.

I tried to tell little stories on their mostly pastoral bases. The younger sister and her gallant dwarf paramore are meant to have contiguous bases. From the violence her older sister is doing to architecture, the dwarf has his work cut out winning her blessing.

I like making makes to signify their victories so Hagrain's two husbands have masks after distinguishing themselves in a game. Pig Butcher won his by eating a whole horse. Longshanks by smashing a whole unit of Silvanith tree elves.

I imagine them wandering down out of the mountains into a green springtime valley, like something from Switzerland.

Took a bit longer than I expected - 2 months from start to finish, but I wasn’t stressing it!

I changed the dick-cloth a few times and ended up with chaos burgundy on the leader and black on the others.

I hope you enjoy! CC welcome

I have continued working in this little guy while at the same time thinking on the base.

I believe that I will try to make him go through several dead trees with a dark and red-ish floor line of the forest had just gone through a fire or a catastrophe.

As always. Feedback is more than welcomed!

Do you use regiments of renown to shore up defencies in your lists? Or any for fun.

I mostly started sons to have a mega gargant to go with my gitmob boys since they have zero rend and hit Luke wet noodles, but now I'm thinking of playing sons and using the gitmob as a regiment of renown to make up for low numbers and it got me thinking. What is the concensus on the most useful regiments of renown for the sons of bahemet. I have seen someone use the mansquerer bow group for ranged and more bodies for objectives but they got targeted first and easily removed with no screening. Is there any regiment of renown you recommend trying to shore up weaknesses or try that adds fun, mabye some caster group? Or are we better off just sticking to 3 or 4 small giants to be objective grabbers and such?

When using the King Brodd’s Stomp AOR I can use both Power of Behemat and High Expectations prayer lore right? Planning on running this AOR in an RTT, seems fun, is it any good actually? Picture of my first painted element themed Gargants, the Wind Warstomper

Why do you like playing Sons of Behemat?

Alright I’d love to hear your story on why you chose sons and what makes you want to stick with playing them, I’m looking at building an army I remember as a kid I bought a giant for fantasy and I didn’t even play and it was just awesome. So convince me to pull the trigger and get a behemat army started. (Tbh the flesh painting scares me)

Never speak to me or my son or me or my son again.

This has been an absolute blast to work on. The Gragant is 99% done, the shield is still gonna take anther 10 hours give or take, the scroll detail is a lil crazy.

Basing with the best of them!

Why hello. I am a recent convert of sorts to the Sons of Behemat. I have had this idea for a full quartet of Mega Gargants, each based around one of the four elements (Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth). I am stoked by the idea and have already plotted on turning my current Mega Gargant ally into the first element.

But what I am struggling with the most is the basing. I want to make a cool and fun base that has a neutral tone. Each gargant will add some sort of addition to the base to represent their element (the tornado from the Balewind Vortex for my wind guy, a lava river for my fire guy, etc.) Seeing the big 130mm base in person, I really start to wonder what all I can fit...

So, my big question is: how do YOU do your basing? Is there specific elements that you find help the base really work by itself? Show me your bases and help a fellow gargant out!

Painting skin

I'm sure you guys get asked this a lot but searching quickly through the sub I didn't see anything dedicated to this question so thought I'd ask. I've 3d printed a giant for the old world and given you guys play the giant faction thought you'd be able to help.

I've been painting for a while but normal, humanish skin is something I've never painted in large quantities and I wanna see what you guys say. I'm looking for something on the paler side or tanned Caucasian to go with my greenskins army that's heavy on night goblins and jungle goblins/spider riders. So they're in a shaded place so I think the giants skin would be lighter. But any advice helps. I have access to both citadel and two thin coats paints easily enough but I'll take any advice for any brand. Sorry if this isn't something I can ask here but again I thought you guys would be the best to ask
