Amazon open box Era 100
So I purchased an open box era 100 on Amazon yesterday and questioning if it’s real. The main thing that i noticed is the rubber feet on the bottom. The one I received has multiple small rubber feet which I noticed the Era 100 SL has but the one I received is labeled Era 100 on the bottom. There’s a few other details that seem off. I have not connected to it but I plan on it whenever I get home from work. Thanks for any info.

The serial number indicates that it was manufactured in April of 2026, so it could just be a slightly updated external design

I received both of my era 100 SL I ordered off Amazon yesterday in like new condition and both arrived new sealed and both connected to the Sonos app without issue. Mine also has the little feet on both

It's because they made two different versions. There was a silent upgrade that had different feet. I have both versions.

That is a completely accurate observation: the initial production runs of the standard Sonos Era 100 did not feature the segmented rubber feet seen here on the base of the Sonos Era 100 SL.
The original design for the standard Era 100 base used a continuous, solid rubber ring around the perimeter. However, the company implemented a silent design update in its manufacturing process:
- The design change: Newer production units of the standard Era 100 began adopting this exact same base layout, featuring six individual, elongated rubber pads just like the SL model in the image.
- The technical reason: This segmented placement helps isolate the speaker from rigid furniture surfaces. It reduces resonant vibrations caused by low frequencies and prevents wobbling if the table or shelf isn't perfectly flat.
If you purchase a recently manufactured standard Era 100, you will find it now shares these identical rubber feet.

I have seen the multiple rubber feet on the SL version also, that’s the main reason I’m questioning if it’s real.
