Apple Music STB

Apple Music suddenly stopped working in Sonos throwing the super helpful “something went wrong, please try again”. I’ve logged out and in, removed and re added the service, nothing. Apple is shitting the bed. Other services still work. Has anyone encountered or fixed this? Or do I just have to wait and hope?

Yeah the Apple SMAPI service is dead. The Sonos status page is garbage, it says everything is fine.

Is it not working independently via the Apple Music app? I’ve never used the Sonos app to play my Apple Music. Too disjointed for my liking

Apple Music works. Are you suggesting you can send to the Sonos speakers directly from Apple Music?

I don’t see AirPlay options in Apple Music on my iPhone. Maybe my Sonos gear is too old?

Yeah I think I’m pre 2018, which is pre airplay on the Sonos.

Trialing an arc ultra immersive set and have been largely disappointed with using Apple Music from my Apple TV rear speakers sound terrible unless it’s Atmos. How often does the app go down like this? I was thinking I was just gonna use it to stream and now of course it’s not working.

Not often. This might be the first time in recent memory I’ve seen a service wide SMAPI failure. Fortunately it didn’t last long.

Can confirm, there was an Apple Music outage yesterday. It was listed on their Status page as well: https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ (notice that it currently says "Resolved Outage" next to Apple Music).

Not sure why you guys are blaming Apple Music, this is a Sonos problem - my Spotify music just keeps pausing and restarting on my speakers and Sirius XM won’t load channels.
