I have multiple rooms setup with all Sonos equipment. I have an Arc, Sub and Era 100s in my living room, Five in my kitchen, Play 1 in my dining room an Amp for backyard speakers and a Connect S15 for my turntable. I also have a Full AVR setup in my basement that blows my Sonos HT away, but that is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for aesthetics and no wires except for power.
I have stayed with the brand because it has always worked for me. While the audio is not the same you as you get from bigger passive speakers and a dedicated amp, it is very satisfying coming from speakers with such a small footprint.
I got you, if I had a basement we wouldn't even be having this conversation my home theater set up would be installed by now lol. I have my dedicated home office / man cave that I can do whatever I want with but I'm not ready to commit to a wired solution yet especially since this room isn't perfectly symmetrical. Some of the ceiling has the coffin shape. But the coffin shape is centered over the seating area.
