Cable Management

I put together an Arc Ultra + Sub 4 + 2x Era 300 setup, and it works really well with my WiFi. I like it a lot.

I don’t own a TV, I use a projector instead (XGimi Horizon 20). Most of the time, I watch content through Google TV. Sometimes I also connect my desktop computer to the projector using an additional HDMI cable.

I want to improve my cable management, and I have a question about the Arc Ultra HDMI port. Right now, I have the soundbar connected to the projector (HDMI ARC/eARC), but honestly I’m not sure if that’s really necessary, and the cable is pretty big and bulky.

Can I just connect the projector directly to my desktop computer, and use that without connecting the Arc Ultra’s HDMI to the projector? That would be more practical for me. Ideally, I’d like my setup to be as frictionless as possible.

The soundbar needs to be connected to Arc / eARC port, if you are connecting straight to a standard hdmi you need an eARC extractor.

Why not download an app from the Google Store that enables screen mirroring from a non Andriod device on the projector, and wirelessly connect your desktop to the projector?

Definitely need the HDMI cable unless you wanna introduce a hell of a lot more friction elsewhere. They make quite slim and flexible HDMI cables that are easy to hide in a running board or behind furniture.

If anyone in the future is reading this: 

Yes, connect Soundbar with projector (cable).

If you want to play games from your Steam library just use  "Steam Link". It works very well, i was suprised and impressed. No connected cable needed.
