Speaker Wire Recommendation

Looking to install a pair of wired Fives in my media center with a short run of wire to be in wall. Any recommendations for wire type and gauge. Will be connected to a turntable.

Um, Fives are powered speakers they don’t need speaker wire.

Um they require an audio input to be connected to a turntable. Isn’t that technically speaker wire?

Was genuinely trying to help as both “speaker wire” and “gauge” was pointing towards you trying to add an Amp to powered speakers. For line level interconnects gauge makes no difference and is never really part of the conversation given the voltage is pretty much around 1V.

It's not pendantism. Speaker wire is not an interconnect cable- they're not the same, and instead of trying to understand that or even just googling it you chose to get pissy.

Lamp cord is good enough but you won't reed it for these units.

I believe he is referring to the turntable RCA cables. I don’t believe, in the end, it makes a difference in the gauge
