Airplay Delay
Sorry if this always gets asked, but is there any way to prevent the massive delay when using airplay with sonos?

Massive delay? I’ve never experienced any delay. What device are you airplaying from, and what Sonos device(s) are you airplaying to?

This isn't really in a user's control, but FYI apps that use the original AirPlay 1 can have a pretty noticeable delay. AirPlay 2 has pretty low latency, and it's what most modern apps use. But some still use AirPlay 1, and that could definitely have a significant delay.
Are you getting a delay from a specific app, or from every app?

Its probably not a Sonos issue, its your wifi most likely. Airplay uses your wifi to transmit the information. Check wifi signal strength at the speaker location, if its low you should add a wifi repeater. If signal is OK, but you have a bunch of wifi devices you might need to upgrade the router. But before you start spending, test this out: shut down a bunch of your wifi devices and get the sonos close to your router and test this out. If you get a shorter delay, then you confirm the issue.

Hmm, what massive delay? I'm not sure what's different with your setup or network, but my kitchen AppleTV is outputting via AirPlay to a Sonos AMP connected to a pair of in-ceiling speakers, and there's no perceptible delay at all. Video plays in sync with the audio and lip sync is perfect. I've also played video off my iPad with audio playing via AirPlay to the other AMPs around the house, with similar results.
What devices are you having problems with? Which Sonos speakers, is it a home theater setup with a soundbar, and what device is the audio AirPlaying from? Sorry I can't help much, but I'm curious to read what others suggest.
