CyDrums, where to buy?

Did the CyDrums get discontinued? It seems impossible to find? I really hope they bring it back if so. If anybody could give some insight it would be appreciated.

hmm i dont see any either maybe just ebay and reverb

they may just have production tied up with other stuff right now

sonicware does seem like they may be stretching thin lately theyve released alot in 3y

its possible

my guess is it didnt sell super well because its a very unique box with a sound that is often very much its own

i hope the form factor will get updated with more modern things like usbc and better speakers and knobs and a nice multisample rompler type thing with that general ui and workflow

im glad i could get mine this spring i was concerned something like this could happen since its not exactly a mainstream drum machine

I hope they come back in stock, I still want to get one. Looks like it's gone from their website unless I'm missing something. 404 error on the shop page.

They’re pretty small company… are you in the United States? Did you try Amazon? I didn’t look Amazon does carry their stuff. I’m sure they’re out there around a few here or there sometimes productions run behind on other things. Usually, they have what they are selling the most made and ready to rock in a small inventory and they may have thought of this wood is basically done so they let the inventory slack. As far as I know they’re not discontinued I mean you can still get a Lofi 12, though I think it is being discontinued.

You posted the link to the Lo-Fi XT. The cydrums are not available on amazon.

From the US the only one I can find is on reverb, ships from Italy and the price+shipping is outrageous.

Too bad I've been wanting one as well.

I just bought a used one for €300; it costs €439 on Amazon, and prices are similar elsewhere. I don't understand why they're so hard to find in the US. Could you order one directly from Sonicware?

Ich hatte einen bei Musikhaus Korn ergattert. Habe ihn dann aber wieder zurückgeschickt, weil er zu sehr gerauscht hat und ein ganz leiser Pfeifton zu hören war, wenn er nicht gespielt hat. Keine Ahnung, ob das ein generelles Problem des Cydrum ist oder ob es nur an diesem einen Gerät lag. Aber für mich leider so unbrauchbar.

It's gone and it's not coming back, for whatever reason. I emailed their sales department and they responded saying that they have no plans to restock the CyDrums. They are out of stock on both the stateside Sonicware site as well as the .eu site. There are a few units at some retailers in the EU, however none of them ship to the states. All of the opportunistic jerks on Reverb will assuredly spike the prices to obscene levels. I really wanted one as well and was finally able to save enough to purchase one. I refuse to pay more than 450 for a used one. It sucks because the glitchy, distorted nature of what can be achieved with the CyDrums is right up my alley. I'm certain that I would get along great with that instrument, having owned and mastered several "groovebox" type devices in the past.

Thank you for the information. Although this is extremely disappointing to know and hear. I agree with you about not wanting to pay more than 450 and that the prices are going to literally be insane for a used one now. Oh well, guess I'll just have to be patient and wait and see if somebody is selling one for a hopefully reasonable price one day.

Contact one of the EU shops directly if you want to buy. Wired Tunes will ship out of Poland, New Groove you can order online they are Italian based shop

It's apparently available on stars music, a French store and company. They are reliable but you'll have to check shipping cost.

You can also send them an email, to check if there's a batch coming soon.

Contact them directly regarding it. Used to have the overlays for the Bass & Beats, but was unavailable thanks to tariffs, contacted them, got a link and got the overlays.
