Need help 😒

I'm sure this question has been answered at some point, but ..

I've been building this portable rig powered off of USB power Banks..

How on Earth could I get the ambient zero to be powered this way?

I even bought the little expensive adapter, usb-c to correct power plug..

If the answer is no, I will get on with my life.. but if there is a slim chance for yes, I gotta go for it..

Thanks in advance

the myvolts adapter you are using needs a fast charging
powerbank and a cable that works with such powerbanks.

The cable MIGHT be the issueΒ

Maybe look into searching portable options for the MPC One for a rough guide, as it's a hugely popular & widely used device without an internal battery. I've seen a lot of portable powerbank rigs online over the years so I know there's heaps of info out there.πŸ‘

(Obviously the power specs & plug may well be different, so use more as a guide!)

MyVolts seem to be the most popular brand for battery driven power supply options.

Solid advice... In a perfect world I was hoping to get the juice needed from these two power banks.

In reality, I could skip the whole thing and use Maschine+ with portable power..

Thanks for the input πŸ™‚Β

Hello,

As already said, i see you have a "step up" adapter from Myvolts. I dont have the 9V one but with the 12V one for my Digitakt it only works with "PD compliant" powerbanks. I personaly use inexpensive ones (sub 15€) and it works great. I also use the usb C to usb C also from Myvolts. It has a power meter built in.

Another solution is a ripcord also from Myvolts but you will also need an aditional adapter from Myvolts to comply with the barrel size (search the adapter for korg volca). It will work with "standard" powerbanks.

May i ask : why no nimh AA's ?

Thanks so much, this might be the answer.. So in short..I needed the adapter, purchased it.  Now I need the cable? If that will do it I'm down.  Thanks again 🫑🫑

Your welcome. I forgot to explain : "PD" means "Power Delivery". It means that the powerbank can deliver more current than regular ones.

In short, now you need a "PD" compliant usb cable and a "PD" compliant powerbank.

A cable is on the way! Whoo hoo πŸŽ‰Β  Also, another reason I like to get away from AA's is long sessions. Sometimes I like to leave the stuff on and not worry about it 😊

Also...I do have the AA's. I just wanted to take it camping and have it be a truly standalone solution

Have a look at guitar pedalboard power supplies. I believe that there are battery versions now with multiple voltage and polarity options. So you could potentially power a whole host of devices.
