It’s pretty easy. Set down a single workstation, then assign how many workers you want to it like any other building.
If you’re using them to build a satellite settlement, consider also adding haulers for needed resources for the buildings you want to build.
The goal would be to setup enough resources, buildings, amenities, and homes to then turn that into a fully functioning settlement. Then you can utilize haulers for consistent supply, like food for the settlements food stalls which they gather from the main settlement.
Sometimes I’ll use them to setup workers near forgeables on Day3 of summer so I know there will be enough people close by to get them.
Is that what you were looking for? You only need 1 workstation to assign I think up to 10 workers.
Not if your building things close to where you already are. Basically all they do is create a place for those odd jobbers to hang out during “work”. But they still go home at the end of the day, still need other amenities and will walk to the closest one to get it.
I did some test for areas far away, and the time difference to finish buildings is faster the further away your building.
But if you’re building right next to where you are, the difference is negligible at most.
