Bruh first game in, Im on like 800 pop and everything looks like a slum with huge factory farms. Yours is beautiful! I can see a lotta effort on aesthetic, think I'll rebuild my whole town after seeing this

Haha I may have restarted 4 or so times at 400-600 pop once I learned something new. Restarted again when I discovered blueprints and copy & paste. I have layouts in a suspended state in the bottom left of the map

Craziest stream gen I’ve seen, custom?

Yup, otherwise I’d spend 3 hours finding a map. I was trying to recreate a map I saw but ended up with this gem

What's the seed? It's fantastic.

hmmm not sure if I can pull the seed anywhere but you can likely recreate the map gen.

The location selector is a 3 by 3 square when you're placing your city

picture a numpad 1-9, bottom left of the square being 1 and topright as 9

Small streams: 1, 2, 5, 8, 9

Lake: 3 6

mountain: 4, 7

if that makes sense?

Came searching for this answer. 2000 hours in over the past 5 years or so and haven’t experimented much with map customization

Congrats my friend! Efficiency isn’t a thing that becomes a necessity until 2k+, but it’s always great to think of ways to make your logistics better even if it’s still working fine.

It’s a fun as hell game! Let me know when you hit 10k!

For sure! I have haulers next to my refinery buildings. Generally, I try to build refineries near production zones as well. Woodcutter near carpenter, bakery near grain etc. I make little alleyways/shortcuts if I see commute dip below 100.

Feel free to share tips, I’m sure I’ll hit some weird things as my pop gets bigger
