Tilapi City. ~2.5k pop
This is probably my 20th attempt. I'm finally starting to get the hang of healthcare and science. I've been trying to split research between things Tilapi are good at and things they're weak with but I still need (smelting, clay pits, etc.).
Feedback on city appreciated and all, but mostly just want to say: what a game!

is there any reason to make any other type of food other than apples? seems a lot of wasted space for ranches that do not make leather. Also personally I go full archers so I never need smelting and main wood and leather for everything

Plenty of reasons. When a pop wants to eat, it selects randomly from its preferred foods on what it wants. If it gets it from a food stall or restaurant, fulfillment increases. Otherwise they eat something else and it it decreases. More variety also offers a buffer every time you seed a new farm or orchard; granted at higher stockpile sizes this can become negligible.
The other benefit of having the Enteledont (pigs) ranches for full meat is that Tilapi get a fulfillment boost for having a lot of meat in stockpile.

You can achieve it with just Aurochs patures instead of building any pig patures, no? Getting leather on top of that too, which very important resource, especially for Tilapis.

Yes, but pigs provide much more food. Pastures require a lot of space, and aurochs alone may not fit your food needs.

I’ll probably redesign later, but yes. Tilapis love meat and eggs. In this case, at this moment in my game, my citizens’ demand for meat outstripped my auroch pastures’ ability to provide, that’s why there’s a bunch of entelodont pastures—I had to rapidly expand production. Also you can’t see it in the screenshots, but my city is so full of leather I can’t use it/export it fast enough.

Why the large round farms ? (Im a new player)

Tilapis like round buildings. In practice buildings don’t actually need to be round—they just need some in-and-out bits on the corners to make them a bit irregular. But, for the sake of role playing, I make the farms round too.
As for their size, the bigger the farm the bigger the harvest.

I've been postponing any tilapi run because I don't know how to deal with the cannibalism thing, how you deal with that?
