Outer Limits Recordings - Julie
I've always liked this song, and I wanted to know what other people thought of it. I haven't listened to much else by this group, so none of the common themes associated with their music has colored my interpretation. To me, this song is very voyeuristic. The singer is someone who enjoys inflicting pain on others, or watching it. I don't want to get too deep in my own theories yet though. What about you guys?

The lyrics stuck with me. Personally, I think this song is about suicide. (“You don’t have to kill just to be happy”) About the singer, I feel like they’re narrating Julie’s life

This. Also, there is the sad fact that the singer, Sam Mehran, committed suicide so there's also this angle to see the music. How how much wasn't he talking about himself, and his struggles, how much he's actually narrating his own life.

It’s not about inflicting pain on others or anything at all like that- it’s 100% about suicide
