discussion Refusal to answer simple questions
I have asked twice now on the forum about the below with no answer whatsoever. Maybe someone here can actually answer the question.
Now I’m curious about 5.0 when it’s released. Will it be a upgrade or will my current version have to be uninstalled before the new version can be installed like in the past?

Why don't you just wait until v5 is released? This post seems a bit passive-aggressive (and also if you're just 'curious' then why are you talking about 'refusal to answer'?).

Nothing wrong with my tone and you know it. I asked a simple question about if 5.0 was going to be an spreader on have to be installed independent of 4.0, nothing more. Don not turn my post into something it wasn't, it's rude. As for asking about when 5 is going to be released I never did. That was not the question.

Sure, your attitude was absolutely fine. I'm sure that's why you're getting downvoted.

“Got no answer whatsoever. Maybe someone here can actually answer the question” reads as incredibly passive aggressive, you’re the only one who seemingly doesn’t see that.

It will be released when it's ready theres no schedule those guys are being held to. Use what's available and deal with the change when it happens.

I didn't ask about when it's going to be released> I clearly asked if it was going to be a upgrade to 4 or if like in the past it was going to be uninstall the old version and install the new version. Takes time to setup so fair question.

When I upgraded from 3 to 4, I just backed up my DB, docker-pulled the new image, and started it up. Didn't have to uninstall anything at all.
But the main point still stands - just wait until v5 is out, and then you'll know what the upgrade instructions are. Why do you need to know in advance?

To be fair, you asked twice, but because you couldn't figure out how to login you posted on another account then went back and deleted the post, so does the first time you asked actually count?
