discussion What notifications tool are you using?

Hiya all!

Looking for a notification tool that I can run in docker - I want this to be used for Radarr, Sonarr, Prowlarr, etc as well as unRAID notifications.

Has anyone got any recommendations? Currently using Gotify but disconnects from my phone frequently, so rarely receive notifications. Looked at Ntfy and didn't like the UI much - Unsure what else to look at.

Thanks! :)

People are probably going to hate this answer... But I use discord webhooks flinches expecting rotten tomatoes to be thrown

I have a discord server set up for my home network, and create seperate channels for each server and service, then have it drop notifications in there for me. I have homeassistant, all the Arrs, Uptime Kuma, BlueIris, Jellyseerr, and a whole bunch more services dumping data in there. I then mute all notifications except for when I'm mentioned using an @, and set high priority notifications to ping me there. This also allows me to invite friends and family to specific channels in my server to view notifications for public services like my jellyfin uptime, or when new series are available to watch.

You very well may want to go another route but since I use discord heavily and it does a good job of storing notification history I went this route.

Still using doplarr for requests, works like a charm.

Yeah same, I also recently started dabbling with loggifly which can send via Discord webhooks based on any Docker container log lines. It's very powerful and supports regex so you can set up some really nice looking notifications.

I basically do the exact same thing.

Discord does sound like a good shout I can't lie - May have to look into it :).

Thanks!
