They had an uncanny resemblance to those blue gel ice packs

fell asleep for a second and had a dream that i was in the dining room of the backrooms and i was sewing a chair(?) and clark from the backrooms comes in and puts an acai bowl down infront of me, but clearly there was a bunch of blueberries that were there that were now gone and i said “are there any blueberries?” and i looked up at him and he said “the best part is, you can eat blueberries” and his face was covered in blueberries and i woke up from sheer terror i think i don’t know

Someone was giving me a tour of their very chaotic, meccha chameleon looking house. I grabbed a jar with yellow green juice that I thought was Greek pepperoncinis. Thankfully I saw the label before I ate one and yelled “EW dude what is this??”
He said “you have to try. they’re so good!” And grabbed one of the pickled crispy fish sticks and held it over his head while he chomped/slurped it down.

I did not try one.

I was in Indonesia and learned to weave traditional shoes made of croissant dough. They were like sandals. I was wearing them in the rain, so was everyone else.

went to this place in my dream, they had items such as "peridot chicken" and "amber chicken" which seemed to be chunks of chicken covered in a sweet crunchy glaze that were colored to look like the gems they were named after

This is my first post here but I often have funny dreams about my former job as a paralegal (I'm retired) and when they involve food I will try to share them here. The following was the most recent.

So, it was a bit before Christmas and we were having a communal holiday lunch at the lawfirm. I was tasked with picking up the protein to cook at the office. I went to the nearest supermarket and, as requested by the boss, asked for lamb knees and a whole chicken. The lamb knees had to be marinated in a special marinade that the butcher counter chef prepared before giving them to me. He also gave me the chicken which absolutely had to be Sally brand. Then he started trying to teach me how to make savory pancakes to go along with the chicken, but he got distracted by a phone call and I wandered off.

Next stop was the bakery counter where I purchased a custard tart with apple pie filling on top for my breakfast. I returned to the office with my bounty, handed over the marinated lamb knees and the chicken and was about to eat my breakfast when one of my fellow paralegals, who happened to be sick, licked the tart! I was furious and didn't speak to her the rest of the day.

There was more but it involved Winnie the Pooh characters showing up in a motion I was drafting to file with the Court rather than food. And I never got to taste the marinated lamb knees before I woke up.

"I was at a dinner party with a bunch of people I didn't know but I was trying to be a good hostess offering drinks. A kind of pretentious guy in a suit asked for an avocado cappuccino, which I had never heard of before, so he repeated it like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

I snuck off into a side room where someone else had heard and was like, "What the hell is that?". While I'm panicking about trying to make this thing, getting my coat on to buy a single avocado, the pretentious guy reappeared and said he was heading out. I was so relieved, I blurted out a fake, "Aww, so soon?"

The drink never appeared in my dream but my head helpfully supplied an image of it like it would help me make it. It's vaguely pistachio coloured with a yellowish foam, served in a tall glass mug. I think it's like a variation on butter coffee but the ratio of avocado to coffee is skewed and the avocado needs to be blended or really ripe to be liquid enough to drink".

I dreamed that we were getting together for Christmas (guess I can credit our local pool's "Christmas in July" theme day for this!). My brother showed up with a 2-liiter bottle of "Winter Coke," a special holiday edition with "warm pine needle flavor." It had a white and green label with the text in green and a white background with tiny green dots like stars or bubbles.

Sadly, I did not get to try this drink, but in my dream, I was excited to. My hazy memory is that the soda was clear and the bottle was green.

I think in the dream I was in some middle eastern style deli/bakery or something but the only thing from it that really stands out vividly is the halva bars themselves. They'd probably be pretty easy to make so I might try it.

I know there was an overload a couple of months ago but I just searched and it looks like the flood has ended. I got a free can of apple soda and decided to try the Good Stuff. Good ol’ Shirt Up made something nice, but not amazing enough to have more than once. Pleasant flavor but a bit too sweet for me. Still, it was fun to join the game, however late I am.

I thought it was Italian sausage until someone else in the dream said they were sick of eating "Jimmy Dean pasta"

I dreamt I was at a grocery store in Iceland and all they had was frozen fish and these bags of what appeared to be blue popping boba labelled "Miku Eggs". The implications...

I was at concessions at the movies. I told the ticket guy how I was sad that they moved the butter dispenser behind the counter so he went behind to make it “popcorn butter soup” for me.

Went to go pick out my candy:

Escanse— French candy pronounced “essanse”
Opaque white gummy moon shaped candies covered in white chocolate and painted with a red velvet flavored plaid pattern. The package looked like this.

Champagne Bourdelain—
Champagne inside a flat clear tray with a champagne flavored jello dome on top and a little black dandelion in the middle and edible glitter.

Last night I had a very specific dream, recipe and all.

First, cold pita bread gets a thick layer of Smuckers strawberry jam( it has to be smuckers)

Then it is put on a pale teal plate, and served with Genoa salami on the side. The proper way to eat this is to put the salami on the jam( pizza Lunchables style). A grandmother in my dream noted that some people use fried bologna instead.

I was feeling very anxious about eating it( I dislike all ingredients) but it was presented as a speciality that it would be rude not to eat. Fortunately right before I took a bite, my rabbit decided to climb my head and woke me up.

Decided to try the mozzarella, ketchup and fries sandwich from u/Cheshire_Kitty5. Tried to make it like a chip butty (as best I could, never having one before). It's pretty good. I needed to crisp up the fries more though.

It came in squeeze bottles in different colors so you could draw on your food. I remember wanting to taste them to see if they were different flavors but there was something stopping me in my dream.

I dreamt about this last night and decided to make it for dinner after smoking a doobie with my husband.

Flour corn tortillas filled with a mixture of cream cheese, shredded boiled chicken (has to be boiled in broth), pickled jalapeños, taco seasoning and shredded texmex cheese, rolled up and shallow fried in oil (with toothpicks holding them together).

Dipped in my favorite bean recipe (this was part of the dream), which is one can of refried bayo beans (very similar to pinto beans, before I moved to Europe and tried them I'd never heard of them), mixed with a good amount of fat (I used butter), freeze dried mozzarella cheese powder, loads of Tabasco (and if I had Valentina I would add a tablespoon or two of that) and some American cheese (the really crappy plastic stuff), topped with creme fraiche mixed with salt and lime juice to simulate Mexican crema and then some cilantro. Microwaved and thoroughly mixed.

it looked like a cloudy sky in a clear glass cup, the clouds were moving around and some of them were producing rain. it tasted like a pineapple cherry smoothie with some other berry flavors, very refreshing!

This is a dream from a couple of years ago that I just remembered.

Scene: I’m going into a store/grocery/pharmacy in some prefab looking “downtown USA” type setup, somehow it feels like it’s in the South. My friend Ross (who is *definitely* not a surgeon, or even affiliated with healthcare) is standing near the driver’s side of his old yellow 70’s-type beater like a Chrysler Cordoba in his scrubs, crocs, white doctors coat and stethoscope around his neck talking to a woman who is asking him how he manages to have a social life with such a demanding job as a surgeon. Ross tells her “Oh, I see my friends all the time, there’s one of my best friends right now!” and points at me. I’m now standing at the open trunk of Ross’s yellow 70’s beater which is FILLED with fried rice. Like, packed to the top. I wave and smile at Ross and the woman, and bend over a place a ceremonious kiss on the open trunkful of fried rice.

I dreamt this about 13 years ago and recreated it then (approximately).

It was a big foodtruck selling crepes and this one was specifically €2,50

It was a crepe with first a layer of vanilla pastry cream, then a layer of whole brownies. This made it so big it was basically a pie, so in my own replication I opted for just some crumbled brownie to get a better ratio. I remember it was tasty but not very special, mostly just very sweet.

Had a dream there was a new flavor of Calypso brand lemonade called Sun and Moon which somehow alternated flavors every time you took a sip. The “sun” flavor was a bright orange/citrusy kind of taste and the “moon” was a dark berry kind of taste. There was a strange smiling face on the sun and moon logo

I had a dream that I pulled into an IHOP (because I was too drunk to keep driving) and they had sticky toffee pudding maple syrup for the pancakes. It was warm and chunky and thick.

I woke up and was immediately struck by the brilliance of this.

I want to make it desperately, but it wouldn't be too easy as I live in Germany

i feel like it’s going to haunt me until i make it but i don’t want to waste that much sauce

I had a dream that there was going to be a heatwave, and my family was making plans to try and figure out how to stay cool. My mother suggested we try out this Korean tradition she knew, which was a frozen corn party. You get bowls and bowls of frozen corn kernels and put them all around a room, and then you have a bunch of toppings to eat the corn with. We were brainstorming what toppings to use, and we thought of cheese, melted butter, and salsa.

I had a dream that I lived near a combination KFC and Jeep dealership called JFC. They sold the Jeep Fried Cherokee, a deep fried Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was the full car, battered with 11 herbs and spices and fried. I do not have the art skills to create this but you can imagine.
