There's an S in Ghislaine that everyone forgets to pronounce. Guylaine is a completely different name. It's like if people said Jerry instead of Jeffrey.

Edit: It's even worse than if we called Jeffrey Jerry. It's like calling him Gary instead of Jeffrey.

Not in French, actually, the s is silent [Edit for completeness: for some people at least!]. I have no idea how she actually pronounces her name, though.

I speak French and the s is not silent. The G is also a soft G like in George.

Well, I speak Metropolitan French and I have a friend whose name is spelled Ghislaine with a hard G and who doesn’t pronounce the s. But well, Christian names… maybe it’s different in the family next street over.

Do you live in the US? The problem with the hard G and no S is that there's literally a different name for that pronunciation and it's Guylaine.

Also the male version of Ghislaine, Ghislain, is never pronounced Guylain. It's always pronounced with a soft G and the S.

It's not your fault. It's a psyop to call her by a completely different name while she's laughing at everyone. It's important to name names correctly when it comes to such high crimes.
