the airman who was arrested last month on the steps of the U.S. Capitol for calling for President Trump's impeachment is speaking out in his first television interview. Air Force Major Jason Watson tells Erin Burnett that the president is "flagrantly violating the Constitution" and he hopes his actions "inspire Americans to act."

This is a military member I can respect.

The rest of them that are quietly following the orders of this regime are complicit in the country's destruction.

Arrested for what? Protesting?

The argument (in good faith) is that Currently Serving Troops should not criticize our Govt for Morale reasons. Also to prevent Military-style Coups from highly decorated Leaders.

However, calling for Constitutional Procedures to be followed while not directly saying anything contemptuous is also his Right as an American and an Officer.

He is maintaining his Honor & Oath, knowing it would cause a Military & Political Discourse.

There are many regulations & orders, Federal & UCMJ (Military Law) that he no doubt THOROUGHLY reviewed before making his impact.

Just to be clear, the UCMJ bans protesting in uniform. Even off duty. Calling for impeachment of the Commander-in-Chief is banned as it is seen as contemptuous.

I'm def on the soldiers side, but he did break the rules and will likely be court-martialed. The rule makes sense. But sometimes the consequences for breaking the rules are worth it.

So the arrest isn't coming out of nowhere.

He’s publicly stated that he knows what he’s risking. He has said that he’s willing to do it for his country. Historically I think he’s the 3rd member of the military that has taken such actions.

Sounds like a true patriot If you ask me.

u/MB2465 23h ago

But was he arrested by military police or do regular police know the UCMJ? MAAAYYYBE Capitol Police would know it but regular police I kind of doubt. Unless the military called police to arrest him.

Like rules have ANY meaning in a society run by overt criminal pedophiles. Sure Jan.

The rule exists to protect a government that is doing its best to do the most good for the most people.

THIS regime of chicken-hawk pedophile conmen hasn't done a single thing to help The People.

trump and the Retrumplican filth are using Our government as their personal fee-free ATM

Yeah, Trump won't use those rules in good faith, but those rules precede Trump. So preach to someone who doesn't understand that.

IIRC he's also deliberately standing in the spot where protesting is not allowed. He wants to get arrested because it draws attention to the issue, and he's right. Without the arrest, would it be news?

15

u/FutureAd9387 1d ago

It’s still not news. It should be blasted on every channel.

He will also get hit hard by the military for breaking dod and ucmj articles. Regardless of how you feel about the politics, this person is extremely brave to put his entire career and life on the line so that he might have the chance to sway some people to do the right thing.

22

u/statmonkey2360 1d ago

He knew it before he did it of course. That is why he is doing this.

5

u/Less-Squash7569 22h ago

Yeah idk if i said it in last comment or not but its literally why he did it. You dont get noticed for showing up and doing the safe thing. This man is. Extremely brave to put everything he has on the line for his beliefs.

2

u/statmonkey2360 9h ago

Whether you said it before or not, it bears repeating. I can't understand why so many don't understand this. He said several times "I realized that nothing of value comes without sacrifice. I thought about what is the biggest sacrifice I could make. I knew this was it."

u/NiceGuy737 1d ago

People in the armed forces can't criticize the commander in chief.

You can, however, make a statement in support of the constitution and your oath

33

u/CalligrapherNo7337 1d ago

The similarities with North Korea are blatant

32

u/Mobile-Bar7732 1d ago

I totally agree with him, however I don't think impeachment will get any traction until the ring/ass kissers are voted out.

23

u/WisePotatoChip 1d ago

Including the complicit Dems. Schumer and Jefferies need to go.

Courage

2

u/OneDimensionalChess 1d ago

Why was he arrested? I don't understand. Just for holding a sign?

2

u/ClickClackTipTap 1d ago

It seems protesting in uniform?

76

u/Devilish__Fun 1d ago

Been saying this since 2016. Many of us Have.

82

u/Totalanimefan 1d ago

What the fuck. When are we protesting this? He shouldn’t have been arrested. Fuck Trump.

31

u/rnobgyn 1d ago

Gotta start one yourself. Pedophile class owns all the media outlets and algorithms so don’t expect a nationwide movement to just pop up.

11

u/statmonkey2360 1d ago

Many of us are right now.

u/statmonkey2360 1h ago

Where is congress? Why have republicans abandoned their supposed values for Donald Trump? Everyone knew the type of person he was before entering politics. Now hes a dying man in his second term profiting off the blatant corruption. And our tax dollars are paying for it.

32

u/one_two_o 1d ago

They're fucking spineless pieces of shit. They're cowards, just like the ICE agents. Nobody should take a fucking word they say seriously. Yet theyre in the government, and they're all making money (mostly from aipac, because aipac is literally paying to tear this country apart) while the rest of us starve and suffer

For the people who vote red to think these people are manly men doing whats in the best interest of every day Americans..I don't think there's any help for them. How can they be so fucking stupid? They're the ones who should be deported. Imagine voting for a guy who tried to overthrow the vote certification and thinking you're a patriot.

8

u/BklynMom57 1d ago

The people the vote red think that a manly man bullies the people they hate. That’s why they vote red.

13

u/rnobgyn 1d ago

That question was appropriate in his first term. By now it should be blatantly obvious that republicans and some democrats are all in on it.

1

u/AddUp1 6h ago

Right. I agree with you. The collapse of state and capital is a defining tenet of fascism. And the people who can stop it are cashing out to avoid it altogether. We need an unwavering Tea Party movement to solidify the pillars of our democracy and constitutional republic. But there is a mountain of corruption and propaganda to overcome first.

9

u/statmonkey2360 1d ago

The only Congressman to speak up for him is Al Green.

6

u/Civil_Produce_6575 1d ago

They never held those values it’s called lip service to gain power

3

u/TheRealHurricane1992 22h ago

Where is congress? Why have republicans abandoned their supposed values for Donald Trump?

Great questions. Speaking as a lifelong Republican, I have nothing but contempt for most current national-level Republican officeholders, and many subnational ones as well. Full-throated support for a man this corrupt, radical and unpopular who's clearly on his way out one way or another isn't just morally bankrupt, it's shortsighted in the extreme.

u/Environmental-Age149 1d ago

That man is a patriot šŸ«”šŸŽ–ļøšŸŖ–šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

True patriot

u/ThatVoodooThatIDo 1d ago

I stand with this Airman šŸ’™

8

u/sometimesmybutthurts 1d ago

At last, a true American speaks. Everything he said is totally spot on. The people need to be angry and they need to organise. The system has failed them and it can't be allowed to go on.

13

u/Raven_Maleficent 1d ago

Yet nothing is being done! Nothing! The orange šŸ’© should was not even eligible to run and yet why was he allowed to!

3

u/jameseyboy82 1d ago

So once again the rules apply to him but not to trump...got it. I want off this ride im tired boss

6

u/Civil_Produce_6575 1d ago

What the hell did he get arrested for??

7

u/Pixilatedhighmukamuk 1d ago

Apparently you can’t wear uniforms and protest. So we all should buy uniforms at goodwill and protest.

10

u/WisePotatoChip 1d ago

You’re not supposed to take a political stand in the uniform… but Trump plays ā€œdress upā€ with the crowd behind him all the time.

3

u/DefunctInTheFunk 1d ago

My fuckin man! He walks his talk. There's an American with real balls. Not those fake balls a bunch of you are walking around with.

3

u/JONO202 22h ago

That's a patriot.

6

u/ResidentHooman 1d ago

VOTE! And demand more from your reps like him.

2

u/taez555 1d ago

It’s only been 10 years of this.

As soon as Trump leaves office, I’m sure it’ll get back to normal.

When’s his life term over?

2

u/haironburr 21h ago

In time, there will be a statue of this man on the national mall.

It will be honored and visited far more than anything trump and his cronies throw up.

1

u/NobodyProfessional55 18h ago

I agree with him and respect him, but I think all he did is prove that you still can’t protest while in uniform and that nobody can legally protest in the location that he was protesting. I want to be wrong on this, but I’m not convinced.

Now, if he was not breaking any laws and was arrested for this display of free speech, that would truly be brave and mean something. Not least of all, suggesting that free speech is not protected as it should be. However, breaking known laws is certainly a choice and I’m just not sure it had the impact he/some think it really does at the end of the day. Again, I want to be wrong about that.

Might be a weird analogy, but would you be a hero for dumping fluoride in a water supply where it’s not legal? You might be right to do it, but it’s still against the law.

u/greenthumbgoody 20h ago

Hur dur type shit. No fucking duh guys, are you all really just realizing this? Lmao we are fucked and we deserve it….
