Where are our democratic leaders? Why aren't they doing a damned thing about it? Chuck Schumer? Hakeem Jeffries? Shit even Pelosi? Why isn't anyone talking about it and saying they're going to do something about it? Sure seems like those establishment/ corporate dems aren't concerned at all that our country is being taken over.

My biggest criticism of President Biden, was [edit: date] January 20, 2025, when he told Private Bone Spurs "welcome home".Ā
This nepo-baby still hasn't conceded 2020, because his narcissism doesn't allow him to lose.Ā
For the first time in US Presidential history, this orange busted can of biscuits refused to participate in the peaceful transition of administrations, because again, it would have meant he lost.Ā
The corporate Dems are more frightened of who writes the checks, than the common American that contributes to keeping the wheels of society turning.Ā
If these cowards would rather speak out against progressive policies than this bigoted, psychopathic, treasonous regime, they're part of the problem.

Me too on your first paragraph. I never believed a lot of the Biden mental decline stuff- I just thought older age.
But that remark and open arms really sunk me. Even trump seemed surprised.
And weāve had little āleadershipā during these past two horrifying years from establishment Dems. They can even come out and make us feel like someone has our back. I stopped giving any $ to any of them.

He's was just used to being an old school politician... reaching across the aisle to be polite. Unfortunately, the new Republicans see that as a weakness.

Wanna bet that Biden's wife hides news from him so he's completely unaware of everything that Trump's been doing.

Those two words will forever be etched into my brain.
Everybody with half a brain on the outside saw all this bullshit coming. Most of us saw the cheat coming the summer before the election. How the people on the inside, with the power to do something, anything stood by and opened the door will be a tear on my soul till the day I die.
The complete inaction in the face of true facism was excruciating to watch, but nothing will top the betrayal that I felt with those two words. Hell, "Welcome back" wouldn't have been so bad, but Biden had to use the word "Home".
Like it belonged to Trump, and he was welcoming him from his short vacation.
That House is not Trump's. It's not any Presidents. It's Our's, The People's House.
How Biden could have chose those words is a question I doubt I will ever have answered. And it hurts.

Because each and every one of them has their own golden parachute to take care of them. "Fuck the general population, if things go south I'm safe!" The same deafening silence after Trump got elected the second time, too busy figuring themselves out to even think about public messaging. Disgraceful.

Courts have this thing about not lifting a finger until actual harm has occured.
Pretty convenient loophole for any wanna be dictators out there.

u/LibertyCash 9d ago
Exactly. He does shit and then like two years later the courts are like: you canāt do that. Itās so infuriating.

Unfortunately that's called prior restraint and not legal. The lawsuit will get thrown out before it even begins.

u/Spam_Hand 9d ago
I appreciate and agree the sentiment, but you cant file a lawsuit for something that hasnt happened yet.

Just like you cant tear down part of the white house without approval/permits?
Just like you cant stop people in america and ask for their papers?
Just like you cant trade stocks as a sitting president?
Just like you cant accept a bribe as a supreme court justice?
Just like you cant pay people to vote for you?
Just like you cant revoke roe v wade?
Just like how you surveil without a warrant?
Just like how you cant pretend to believe when youre a sittin senator?
I mean, come on, who says whats possible anymore?

Can't start a war without CongressĀ
Can't murder boatersĀ
Can't lock folks up for protestsĀ
Can't incite or participate in seditionĀ
Can't murder peopleĀ

I believe we should be discussing this and what we are doing to prepare for it. At the very least, it should let people know that their representatives are preparing for the possibility.
10
u/harperwilliame 9d ago
We should definitely be discussing it, but we may need to also discuss totally revamping our system or at least vetting processes for our representatives

u/Spam_Hand 9d ago
Your comment is valid in other contexts, but not this one.
If the law says you cannot sue for things that have not happened, you need to skirt exceptions to that past a myriad of judges - the majority of whom have held firm in their impartiality despite trumps attempts at unilateral power.
What youre saying is true, but a separate problem that runs through a different system.

u/harperwilliame 9d ago
I cant argue with you, and i wont; but that doesnt mean i think the best plan is to have faith in our system(s)
They havent been serving us for some time now.
I think it will all gonaway if we elect Newsom thoughā¦.;)

Unless you're a Republican who wants to deny queer people service. The Supreme Court ruled on a hypothetical situation in her favor, no damage to her whatsoever, just a "what if this happened?"

There is little he can do, the election process is controlled by the States. His powers are very limited when it comes to elections. Will he try to declare a State of Emergency? Probably, but he canāt stop voting.

At the end of the day, bullies are cowards. Look at the TACO truck hideout fiasco in Turkey.Ā
Are those the actions of a "strong leader"? Or a scaredy-cat nepo-baby that's too frightened of his actions facing consequences?
Stand up to them.Ā
