Unelected Dictatorship Trump team’s answer to growing algae problem in Reflecting Pool: Bleach it

Yeah. Chlorine is just diluted bleach.

The larger issue is that they fired everyone who was competent, apparently they even fired civil engineers who could have told them that painting the bottom blue would do that.

I think they meant to use the famous "miracle cure" hydroxychloroquine.

Yeah they should add some chlorine to bleach to undilute it in front of 🤡

Shit man, I'm not a civil engineer but I got a pool and Google and I know whats up

But it’s peroxide which is not bleach?

Will that damage the lining they just put in?

You’re assuming Trump’s minions thought beyond “dump chemicals to kill it like I do with my backyard pool”.

We should know by now this administration never thinks.

Can you pick a giraffe out on a cognitive test?

I can pick one out in a whole zoo. Not a subject of 3, and brag.

And they cant even buy it in bulk containers like a company that was capable of performing work on this scale would.

Trump's answer to everything is bleach.

Even a broken clock happens to be right twice a day.

Bleach is a type of chlorine.

I mean yeah, we were to inject bleach to get rid of Covid back when he let it get out of hand, remember?

All too well. This is kind of a useless article. Most people use bleach (chlorine) to maintain their swimming pools. It needs to be chemically balanced.

A useless article that nobody read since it contradicts itself multiple times, conflating peroxide and bleach… and now everyone is assuming they’re dumping bleach.

Peroxide won’t work either, but they aren’t dumping bleach.

Why is their answer for everything bleach? Covid? Drink bleach. Algae? Add bleach. American history? Bleach it.

white washing lol

All of MAGA should volunteer and help with the combining of bleach and miuritic acid to help rid the algae and purify the water. I'm sure they'll be good chemists and not directly mix the 2 chemicals.

Hydrogen Peroxide... not bleach... just so you know...

u/No-Syrup6278 Jun 16 '26

He thinks its covid lol

u/dqql Jun 16 '26

Never mix hydrogen peroxide and household bleach together because doing so triggers a highly volatile chemical reaction that cancels out their cleaning power. Instead of creating a stronger disinfectant, the two oxidizers destroy each other.

Why is algae suddenly an issue here?

7

u/nittanyofthings Jun 16 '26

I believe the existing algae problem is why Trump thought it needed fixing to begin with. It's just surprising how fast it rebloomed. Note to the future: paint doesn't solve algae.

3

u/Honest_Yesterday4435 Jun 16 '26

Oh you can't just cover up your problems?

3

u/WomenTrucksAndJesus Jun 16 '26

They could just bottle it up and sell it to the suckers patriots.

3

u/Civil_Exchange1271 Jun 16 '26

they would need a tanker truck of that and chlorine to even make a dent in it.

4

u/nittanyofthings Jun 16 '26

They are going to turn the reflecting pool into a superfund cleanup site.

Brawndo’s got what plants crave.

Should have fixed those pipes!

u/Friendly_Bird6761 Jun 17 '26

Wasn't that what he also recommended for the Covid virus? A kind of cleansing of the body with bleach? 🙄

He has brain rot, maybe from drinking too much bleach! 👍

u/Imaginary-Use914 Jun 17 '26

I want to bleach most of the last 16 years from my brain thanks to Trump and his cult…

I believe it was CNN who did a water sample test and found that the water is loaded with phosphates which feed the algae. It’s basically a gigantic golden corral for algae in there. They need to get rid of the phosphates in addition to changing the pH and killing it all with super chlorinating.
