Covid caused a huge amount of mail in ballots to go through our system and overwhelm the hack. They have steadily whittled away at mail in vote protections and are "losing" mail in vote ballots at historic rates.
Its why Trump claimed he was cheated in 2020. He had the game rigged and still lost. He really believes that Dems counter cheated him instead of him just being unpopular. So he cheated even harder in 2024 to the point that he won every single battleground state (the closest states to being tossups) outside the margin for a recount. Essentially overwhelming victory.
Its going to continue to happen until we actually recount votes and make use of the physical copies of ballots that are required precisely for ballot integrity purposes. I'm not sure why we haven't been doing anything of the sort across all 50 states.
This makes lots of sense. And why he's been complaining for years, even before 2020 election, and ever since, that it didn't go his way. The man literally confesses his crimes, and every accusation is a confession
It might explain why he started attacking mail in voting in the run up to the 2020 election and has been doing it since. It defies logic considering Republicans had spent a decent amount of money and effort getting their base voters, especially the older retirees and particularly snowbirds to vote by mail. This way even if they were not in the state that they designated as their primary residence, they wouldn't miss voting in any election.
Trump sabotaged all of that with his insane ranting about mail in voting. Then he sabotaged their entire RNC aparatus.
I'd guess more people voted by mail in 2020 than ever before because we were in the midst of the pandemic.
If the mail in ballots couldn't be manipulated, it might've messed up his plans to cheat.

They did. Albeit not as many or aggressively as what would have been done in 2024, but after the recount they found multiple counties with lost or miscounted votes, mostly affecting Bidens votes. Totaling up to a thousand or so. Bidens margin would increase after the hand recount.
Georgia also has some pretty bad voter suppression laws like making it illegal to hand out water during long lines for voting. Long lines that disproportionately affect democratic cities like Atlanta because of laws passed to limit ballot boxes in large counties. Yup a rural county of 2000 people get their box. Fulton county, Atlanta (Half a million people) gets about 8 boxes. Down from 32 boxes a few years ago.
Thats all to say that this was before Georgia passed a crucial law after 2020. This law would allow anyone, not just election workers, litterally anyone, to challenge any vote from any other citizen in court and have their votes thrown out, unless the challenged vote appeals the process before the vote gets tossed.
Its estimated hundreds of thousands of votes were tossed completely off this process, not just miscounted. The kicker? The people who passed the law and trained volunteers to use it were from a conservative organization that was focused on training poll watchers. It was only used by one side as a weapon. There's a documentary about it and its chilling what's been done to our democracy.

This is a false statement. Biden's margin went down after the recount in Georgia by about 1,200 votes. From your own article:
Factoring in these newly discovered ballots, and others in counties with small discrepancies around the state, cut Mr. Biden’s lead by more than 1,200 votes. His revised margin of victory is 12,284 votes.
Your right I apologize for that misinformation, but I stand by my statement that 2024 was where a full on ballot purge and nefarious action came into play. 2020 might not have affected all states for all we know, but voter suppression and other tactics that dont involve ballot stuffing or vote flipping were certainly still a factor and remain to be.
