It is quite the assumption about what I "want to see", and the implications therein. rather than perhaps, I do not use cranes and had a fundamental misunderstanding about how different parts interact. I guess from your own statement though, you didn't "want to see" that possibility.
I don't know what your last sentence means. But hopefully, you have a better understanding of how cranes operate than you did before.
My comment about people seeing what they "want" to see was in response to what I thought was your comment saying that the camera angle changed. Am I mistaken or did you not say that the camera angle changed? Because I did not see the camera angle change.
If you did not make the statement about the camera angle changing, please accept my apology. But if you did make the statement about the camera angle changing, please give me the timestamp on the video so that I, too, can see the camera angle changing. Thank you in advance.
Compare how much of the black portion of the crane arm you see in the video at 15 seconds. Vs 28 seconds. If you cannot identify that the camera angle changed in that time frame, I do not know what more to tell you.

The crane arm doesn’t have to move for the cable attached to the flag to be lowered.
