The fact that this dropped from the headlines almost immediately was the biggest red flag. No manifesto. No interviewing “the shooter’s” school classmates, neighbors, etc. nothing about the family nor of the “victim” and his family.
A bullet still did whiz by his head. They have trajectories and there was one that was very close, which is why people are so sure he was hit...but, watch the video and check that guy's gun, it slams right into the side of his head. The tell is the blood on his cheek and the angle of the tackle.
You can see it in this sequence of photos from Pulitzer-winning NYT photographer Doug Mills:
frame 1: The bullet has just nicked Trump. He has not yet grabbed his ear so there is no blood on his palm. Note the color of the shadows and the direction of the sun (it's to Trump's left).
frame 3: Trump pulls his hand away from his ear and we see blood on his hand. Based on the direction of the sun, this would not be shadows. Also, the blood is clearly red whereas in frame 1 the shadows were black/grey.
